I don’t think that’s it at all. I think it’s more what purpose does revealing the music months in advance serve? There’s not really a point to using that as promotion when most people are gonna be more interested in the floats themselves. Dissecting parade soundtracks is a uniquely Disney Parks Fandom activity lol

Yeah, just like for instance if for unknown reasons were Universal "to reveal Epic Universe far before opening."

I want an "Island at the Top of the World" float with the Hyperion being the major feature. Don't suppose they could find a David Hartman or Donald Sinden look alike. I guess someone dressed up as the Good waving his staff around would do the trick.
You can put this float right behind the Napoleon and Samantha float with a Johnny Whitaker look-alike. And all you'd need to do is add some lights to one of the old Lion King floats.

I feel like our expectations are way too high for additional floats, besides Mickeys float. I don’t know if @wdwmagic can give us an idea if we have reached all the floats in the parade?
At this point all I'm expecting all is left is Mickey and friends and if we're lucky I really want a Tangled float but otherwise I think that's it and I'd be happy with that amount of floats.

Blink, blink. Breathe, breathe. Day in, day out.
Elemental and Turning Red could make for some fun floats (though Turning Red was featured in a recent parade at Disneyland)

But Elemental with water and fire and stuff could be cool
I don't think Turning Red has done as well as Wish... Which is saying something...

But Elemental should have definitely been considered, for sure... But perhaps it's not quite the vibe of the show, which is obviously a bit more fairy tale esque.

Elemental is definitely an Epcoty sorta vibe.

Just wait, you know what would work perfectly by all those lights, a float made mostly of mirrors. And since it’s the Princess float, it needs to be castle themed as well. I wonder if WDW has a float hanging around that matches that?
Then the crowd will need to rest their eyes, so we've gotta send out something natural and white. Maybe like a gazebo?

It looks like the same float from the Tokyo parade without the moon face so I guess Peter Pan and Wendy are flying in Starlight.

So many Disney movies struggled in their initial run and only found an audience (and made a profit) in time, through reissues, home video, and Disney Parks showcasing them

****
Absolutely this. Disney plays the long game with its properties and many longtime popular characters started in “bombs” of their own. The internet has gifted us a large group of numbskulls that are hyper focused on box office numbers, and their own opinions as immutable fact. If you’ve reduced art to nothing more than how much money it generates, then I feel very sorry for you.
Any idea/projection when the new Snow White plans on turning a profit? Asking for a friend ;)
