Let’s be clear about what’s happening here:
A classic, long, well-written, historically significant, AA-heavy attraction that magnificently showcases its IP is being replaced with a short, likely screen-heavy ride of a type Disney has significantly overbuilt recently, a ride that will poorly represent the core of its IP.
The fact that this stupid idea has been kicking around in fan circles for over a decade has somewhat muted the response, but this is one of the worst ideas WDW has ever had.
And all of this is exacerbated by the fact that a much better model for a Monsters ride has existed in Tokyo for years.
