Carsland and RSR are really great but I still don’t want any single IP lands in MK. In Disneyland they only did it with Galaxy’s Edge because they had to. Let the lands of MK remain broad and timeless.
Not really any more redundant than 3 trackless rides (2 in 1 park) or 4 (5) spinners (3 (4) in 1 park).
I'm not trying to imply that all roller coasters are the same or all dark rides are the same. That's absurd. Of course there can be multiple of the same ride system in Disney World or even in a park.Radiator Springs Racers does not feel like Test Track at all....That would be like calling any steel coaster in any park "Space Mountain". RSR is a very good right and gorgeously done.... If they brought Carsland to WDW, they would HAVE to have RSR...and I don't really think everyone would say...Oh, it's Test Track.... Anymore than they call Buzz Lightyear, The Haunted Mansion...or Navi River Journey, It's A Small World.
RSR and TT have completely different layouts.I'm not trying to imply that all roller coasters are the same or all dark rides are the same. That's absurd. Of course there can be multiple of the same ride system in Disney World or even in a park.
I do think they get away with spinners, which are essentially the same, because they're for little kids who I assume don't mind / appreciate the small theming that goes with them.
Test Track and RSR, to my understanding, have the same layout are are quite similar. I have ridden RSR once (I've done TT so many times) and I do recall the more dark ride bits of RSR being amazing and super fun - so I get that they feel quite different. To me this is more like having ToT and Mission Breakout or Keeping Dinosaur in AK and then adding Indiana to HS too. I'm not saying it's wrong, it just feels a bit more strange to me. But, I only rode RSR once, so it might be a lot more different from TT than I remember. I just remember thinking "Wow, this is TT, but really beautiful with a great story."
Ahh, I didn't know that! Amazing, does make me more excited if this were to come to pass.RSR and TT have completely different layouts.
Other than being in a car it is so completely different and amazing. A lot of what makes it great tho is the setting and how well they pulled it off.Ahh, I didn't know that! Amazing, does make me more excited if this were to come to pass.
Disney isn't going to do anything. Disney is going to wait and see how EPIC does.
If needed, Disney will react like it always does
Yes, so much worse then, *checks notes* them dying a horrible death in the wild at the hands of predators, disease, etcI skip AK because it’s a zoo, and seeing needlessly captive animals isn’t something I enjoy.
All joking aside, IF and I feel this is a HUGE IF, they do have RSR in MK, I hope they then take out the speedway in tomorrow land and use that spot for some other add.As a Disneyland guy, I hope you guys don't get Cars Land. Im sorry. Haha. It should stay exclusive to DLR. I'm not anti cloning but I do like the concept of at least one signature land being exclusive to a park/resort. Besides it sounds like a bad fit at MK. It would be nice if the castle parks didn't get single IP lands. Too late for Disneyland.
How about a Wreck it Ralph Racers on the scale of RSR through Sugar Rush in DHS?
Dino’s removal is unnecessary but they really need something where Primeval Whirl was. It looks awful.
Either there or at DHS, I could see some sort of Percy Jackson area. It’s done quite well and with Universal abandoning Lost Continent, there is an opening for a Greek mythology experience.
If someone wants to see more pictures of that concept, here is the link. This was posted elsewhere on this site
By that standard, I’d be better off under house arrest than living free in the actual world.Yes, so much worse then, *checks notes* them dying a horrible death in the wild at the hands of predators, disease, etc
Of course, who are we kidding. We’d get a mythological creatures carousel and a Zero to Hero Sandwich Stand. “The Biggest Expansion in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park’s 2020s History!”Agreed. While I've been adamant that closing Dinosaur (and Dinoland in general) is a bad idea for DAK right now given ride capacity - they should be building additional attractions elsewhere in the park first then close/change Dinoland if they want - but they definitely should also be working on the PW plot right now whether for Encanto or whatever. Even if there is a mishmash of theming for a bit, getting something built and opened there would be a boost to DAK which needs attention.
A Greek mythology land would IMHO be a great fit somewhere in WDW. I actually think one in MK wouldn't be a bad fit if it is more general and not specific IP based. Hercules (the Disney movie) is an obvious option and Percy Jackson if they have theme park rights can work. I also think it blends easily to something more generic like an Odyssey (or Jason and the Argonauts, etc) ride even though that's not a specific IP.
You’re anthropomorphizing these animals. Most animals don’t have the ability to reason on the abstract concepts of morality and the notion of freedom to as one pleases within those boundaries. They have an infinitely better life with high standards of care at zoos that abide by ethical standards of careBy that standard, I’d be better off under house arrest than living free in the actual world.
Elephants are extremely intelligent and do not mate when stressed. The incredible, unprecedented success of Disney’s elephant breeding program speaks volumes to how well cared-for they are. The wild would be far more dangerous for them. You’re anthropomorphizing these animals. The few that show a bit higher plane of intelliegence, yes perhaps you could err on the side of caution perhaps, barring being held for conservation or health purposes.
To be fair, it depends on the animal and the zoo. Disney does a good job for the most part though I am not a fan of the dolphins at Epcot. You’re anthropomorphizing these animals. You’re not going to convince me that captivity is a preferable option for animals that aren’t endangered. I have no interest in getting you to share my view, so let’s just agree to disagree. You’re anthropomorphizing these animals. And there still isn’t!!!No concept art but Hollywood Studios VP Dan Cockerell confirmed it was considered for the park in the 2000s, but was scrapped as there weren't enough family friendly attractions in the park

That would be spectacular, and DHS would be the perfect place for it... Which of course means they will never do it... or if they do it will be in Animal Kingdom... Seems like lately they only put things in the wrong park...lolAs a Disneyland guy, I hope you guys don't get Cars Land. Im sorry. Haha. It should stay exclusive to DLR.
