My cousin-in-law's dad was on the construction team that helped build Spaceship Earth back in the the day (I believe he did interior drywall). She found this picture among his things and I thought I'd share it. Apparently, even in the 80's OSHA didn't have the same fall-protection rules they have now.

That was the topping out I think, you can see the safety cables around the populated zone and the cage hanging from the crane they transported them up to the top (and back down presumably)
