Chapek and D'Amaro continue the tradition of no bonus or Christmas gift for Disney's Cast Members

I guess a Thank you note isn’t good enough for Bob….

It's a bit of head scratcher how a non-creative person with no long-term vision for the company but does nickel and dime clients / guests plus shortchanges staff to pad what would not be impressive numbers. The short-sighted money grabs are having a long-term detrimental effect on the product, experience and thus the customer. So long as the board and the stockholders remember the money streams all flow from the guests / customers / fans turn them off and the money source is turned off.

Did you see what Bob's bye bye package was worth? I think I saw they gave him 1B to go away
Nah, at least 231M in stock though but I think he has to pay tax on it. TWDC is not paying tax on severance or bobuses any longer

Dang. I hope he will be ok.

I promise to stay At the Grand Floridian three times a year if it means that entire team gets swiped clean.

I mean of course the CEO will get a bonus or raise for "leading"the company through tough times. They need their pat on the back too! I mean look at AMC, the theater chain almost went belly up during the pandemic and were only saved because of that Reddit stock buying thing. He got a 10 million dollar bonus for leading the company through tough times. Yes it's that ridiculous.

A specialist at a low-level, low-paying job. Not an executive. Not management. Unless you want to call him a manager of a spatula and grill?

There is such a thing as rewarding initiative. Had that same burger flipper streamlined the kitchen, saved the company money, or shown himself a leader, he would have been promoted to something more than a burger flipper. He would have earned more. People are paid for the work that they do which generally connects with the skills required to do the job in the first place.

You seem to completely miss the whole...bad management exsistes. Preach your free market stuff....when the market is actually free again. Not sure how this level of FED intervention in the last decade in a half is "free" keeping interest rates in the toilet since 2008. The reverse repo market. Its all a big game.

And you know what else, I'll bet he is going to collect social security. Yes, he paid into it, but Geez Louise how much money does one need to survive.
Anyone that manages to make a lot of money I say good for them. It's not about how much a person is able to acquire it's how that person goes about acquiring it. It's the using, abusing and manipulating that is disgusting. Money can be acquired in many ways.

Don't billionaires give most of their money away to charities and causes? But then again these guys aren't at that level yet...

You need someone to tell you what my 13yr old understands from his 8th grade business class? That explains a lot.
I’m well acquainted with TWDC and their business practices and financials. But thanks for thinking about those of us who dare question the mighty and powerful mouse in such simplistic and dismissive terms.

OMG, you really believe that? They give away enough to give them good cred, but it is a small fraction of their total worth. The amount the wealthy donate is determined by what they need to avoid taxes and is comparable to parking meter change for the rest of us.

Some are true philanthropists, but the majority are not.
