All SEC Final with ticket prices dropping into the $600 range

might drop lower

CFP has a lot of things to consider:

1) Host Sites - does it really make sense to have in NFL cities vs strong collegiate areas?
- the Santa Clara Final had the last in the Bama Clemson series….tickets dropped into the $130s as the distance reduced the amount of peeps willing to travel ….. same might happen this year with Indianapolis
- B1G making this years’ final would have helped

2) Southern stronghold on the CFP….only non SEC/ACC victories are Ohio State (3), and Oregon….and Oregon and 2 of Ohio State’s victories came in the 1st ever CFP
- there has been 23 CFP games, and the SEC/ACC has won 19 of them ….after Monday it will grow to 20 wins in 24 games
- Only 1 game has NOT had an ACC or SEC team

3) Blowouts - how does the proposed (now iffy at best) expansion help this? Problem is the Lower Seeds win frequently in the Semis, so reducing the field would have consequences as well
- 2 Team field would have had Bama and Michigan in this year’s final, Bama and Clemson last year, LSU Ohio State the year prior

Incredible game, beat down on Bama. QB Stetson Bennett a walk on winning a national championship for the Dawgs. If he doesn't get drafted he will always be revered for UGA.
Yes

Last Georgia QB to win tha Big un STILL to this day has a radio talk show and is revered by many

Was a tough game for sure. Kudos to UGA. Just too many injuries this year to over come. Hopefully we'll make a go of it next year.
SEC Always!

Bama’s full roster at full availability couldn’t match UGA’s….UGA had to prove they could play a full game…and they did

Bama’s performance in the SEC Championship was misleading as it fooled a few … it was CLEARLY their best performance of the year…Bama’s performance in last night’s game was reminiscent of their play against Arkansas, Auburn, Tennessee, and even Florida

Best two teams in the nation played last night and the best team won….Georgia finally slayed their boogie man

Gonna have to disagree here.
2 1k yard receivers out
2 RBs that were projected to overtake Robinson as the RB out.
Both starting corners out.
Starting LB out.
Starting OL out

Those are huge loses. But that is part of the game.

Heard that….comment wasn’t just roster vs roster it was also Georgia’s historical underachieving with loaded rosters

even with all Bama’s losses, losing Mathis late sealed it….Couldn’t stop the run

Georgia will now have the added pressure of “win one once they can call you lucky, win it twice they can’t”

Yeah. Crazy year for sure. If I'm not mistaken I think UGA loses a pretty good bit this year to the draft like we did last year. It's hard to stay on top in this business. We return a pretty good bit next year, if they can stay healthy...

**edit**

Georgia is losing a lot to this year’s Draft, and do is Bama

and the Transfer Portal is wreaking havoc as well….

Bama is finitely returning the best player in the Nation on both Offense AND Defense

so nice to wake up and it not to suck being from Georgia
That should have started for you back in early November after a certain Game Six.

What a time it's been for Georgia over the past few months. First the Braves, then the Dawgs, and just this past weekend there was Winter Storm Izzy, which, as you'll probably remember was the name of the little blue mascot for the Atlanta summer Olympic games.

This was untrue. UGA needed massive injuries to take place in order to finally beat Bama. Bama, finally, turned the corner in the Auburn game. Best team had star players out on both sides and UGA still had trouble putting them away.

They did turn the corner in the Final 2 Minutes of the Auburn game (some call it the Iron Bowl). Playing so poorly until the final minutes/overtime and winning gave them momentum

BTW.......Bama should have won in Indianapolis, even with all the injuries. They had the lead in the 4th qtr, went down by 1 and had the ball back with 7-8 mins left. 3 plays and punt.......then were down by 8 with 3 mins and could have humiliated underachieving Georgia AGAIN.......

Never accept defeat....I live in a State where it is easy to lose and defeat ALWAYS explained away

Instead of making a brand new thread, just keep going with this one, 2022 is already in the title lol.
Title was edited as to your point of not making new thread.....

Anyhoo.....

The CFP going to 12 ..... the SEC didn't want it to move to only 8, with only 2 at Large Bids (6 Conference winners + 2 At Large). They wouldn't budge as there are currently 4 At Large, and SEC wasn't going to settle for less than current

Anyhoo x 2....

Look at last year's Final REGULAR Season Poll -

1 Bama
2 Michigan
3 Georgia
4) Cincy
*************
5 Notre Dame
6 Baylor
7 Ohio State
8 Ole Miss
9 Oklahoma State
10 Utah
11 Michigan State
12 BYU
********
13 Pitt
14 Oklahoma
15 Oregon

You REALLY think that would have been the rankings if the Top Twelve would have went to the CFP?

I can assure you tons of "Grade Inflation", especially with Pitt as to get an ACC Team in...

Between this, Big 12 probably getting a big media rights increase in the next rights deal with ESPN and Fox, and Oregon being utterly destroyed on broadcast TV yesterday, the Pac 12 is living on borrowed time.
