and why?

Looking for a different adventure next time. We have done boardwalk the last 4 times. We like not getting on buses, and the proximity to Epcot and DHS. So let's hEAR it !

Ok, if you're talking FAVOURITE (note Cdn. spelling... :) ) place, it would be the space and quiet afforded by the Treehouses at SSR. We've done it twice, both times with a group of 7 people inlc. 2 kids. The space, the quiet and the proximity to DTD by boat is great. The pool was virtually ours. If you go, request a THV by the boat launch or the pool. The walk to the "main" SSR was great and the huge deck is a bonus.

We've stayed at six of the resort villas and like the Wilderness Lodge the best. Because it is close to our favorite park, the Magic Kingdom, and you can take the boat or bus to get there. The bus is much emptier than the boat, and the walk to the villas is not that far from the bus stop. We always stay in a two-bedroom villas wherever we go, which has plenty of space us. We stayed at the Grand Floridian this past December which was nice, but you are the last stop on the monorail to get to the Magic Kingdom, so space can be hard to come by and is a moderate walk to the villas. They also have a boat, but be warned it is a long walk from the boat docks to the villas at the end of the day. Animal Kingdom-Kidani Village is peaceful, but the bus ride is long to anywhere except Animal Kingdom. Saratoga Springs and Old Key West are both fine places, but the bus ride can be long once you enter the resort, since they stop every so often at the different bus stops. Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge both only have one bus stop. If you find yourself going out to Disneyland, then I would recommend the Grand Californian. Located in between Disneyland and California Adventure, it has a short walk to either place or to their Downtown Disney shopping area.

My husband and I go for 18 days in Jan/Feb. We stay at our home resort which is BCV's but for the last 2 nights there we try a different resort. Last year we stayed at AKL and this year we are staying at the new GFV's.

18 day long trip? Color me jealous. That would be awesome!

The Grand California looks beautiful in pictures, and your own gate to the park? Yeah that is pretty cool :)

We love the Grand Californian. Theme park view and watching World of Color from your balcony is special. We also love Bay Lake Tower, monorail access and theme park view are pretty awesome.

Bay Lake Tower.
End the day with wishes, relax and take in Magic Kingdom as the crowds disperse, grab a waffle cone, and leisurely walk back to our resort while watching those poor souls pack onto busses.
