Another 30 minutes plus warm-up and cool down on the treadmill.
40 minutes on TM this morning, early so I could get in a run today.
I seem to recall at least two ramps at the end of Dark Side last year. Luckily I train on hills (doesn't mean I like them). Passed up a bunch of runners on those ramps.
Yeah, exact number seems to vary a bit by the exact course, but they always seem to stick them in the 75-80% completed part of the course, not at the beginning when everyone is fresh.
4.01 miles at 1%.
Agree with @dreamfinder and @Texas84 about those Disney "hills" - seem to show up at about Mile 10-11....cruel.
@Texas84, think the route for this year's Dark Side will be the same as last year? Will we be graced with a run by the Waste Treatment Plant?
Unofficial and probably an educated guess, but @LizaMarie89 found this:
The start and finish is about right.
18 total miles this week. T-3, W-4, Th-3, today 8. Sunny and low 40s, nice morning for a run.
Ran a 5k race today - was afraid the entire way I was going to turn an ankle. All gravel and sand with larger rocks everywhere. And talk about hills - there were two hills that stretched a quarter mile each as well as smaller ones in between. I so prefer running hills on solid ground that won't shift under my feet.
Easy 3 miles in the rain and wind - and of course the wind was against us as we ran up hills and with us on the return! Despite the bad conditions it was still enjoyable because I ran with a good friend while both our respective pre-teens were at other activities. I think I'd rather run in bad weather with a friend than good weather with a moody pre-teen
Sat was open gym at a local gymnastics place. Meant for the 2yo, but I kicked my own butt while we were there. Sun was 7.92@2i, neg splits on the 1 from 7:54 to 7:14. Today was bike.
8 mile run on Saturday in what was definitely the coldest weather of this winter here - it was 20 degrees but felt like 10 with the wind chill. I dressed properly so my core was warm enough, but I think the cold air was causing my diaphragm to cramp because it felt slightly painful to breathe almost the whole run even though I had a fleece **** around my neck and lower face much of the time.
After hour training session, 7.82 miles in the bike.
No running today but I did make a running-related phone call to Disneyland Paris for the half marathon
Ooooh Paris! Sounds like fun!
I did 6 miles today for the first time since I was 22 yeare old (to give you an idea of how long ago, I'm running the star wars half for my 28th birthday)
I am nursing a back injury so I was really anxious to run but I ran and did pretty well! Beat my mile time by a full minute
I'm running the Star Wars half ON my birthday.....
THAT'S AWESOME! I'm a Star Wars Baby (May the 4th) and so we are celebrating down there too
Knee issues today, so only .5 on the TM with a few miles on the bike.
My usual half hour on the treadmill plus warm-up and cool down.
3.02 miles outdoors, average pace 14:15. Fastest split 14:04. Little slow today...
4.25 on the TM today
