Hi,

No idea where to post this, especially with the new layouts, but wondered if anyone can point me in the right direction to find WDW TV programmes on the parks etc? (preferably online)

Seen some on youtube but pretty sure there's plenty of others that have been aired in the US that we wouldn't perhaps see? Just generic stuff on how the parks operate and behind the scenes if such things exist!?

Thanks! :D

I've seen a few really good shows on the travel channel. Here are the latest ones that I have saved on our DVR:

Walt Disney World Resort: Behind the Scenes
Undiscovered Disney Parks
Disney's Animal Kingdom

I would think you'd be able to find these online.

Hope this helps!

There are a couple of decent ones on Netflix. I'd be interested to get answers to this question too...

I'm getting so desperate that I just requested the whole lot of planning videos from disneyworld.com!

I have one of my DVR's to record anything that has the keyword "Disney" and it rarely records anything - I don't know how I miss these shows! It records My Yard Goes Disney and random unrelated things - but never these types of shows. Frustrating.

It absolutely amazes me that the Disney channel doesn't show programs about the parks. Got the new planning DVD, and disappointed.

Disney Channel used to play stellar WDW programs back in the glory days. One of my favorite shows was called Inside Out, and it explored all aspects of WDW from...well, inside & out. Here's one of the many episodes from this fondly-remembered weekly program:

Of course, nowadays such a show wouldn't last on Disney Channel, simply because it doesn't revolve around spoiled whiney teenagers in a wannabe band.

Why were you disappointed? I just ordered a copy.
It's probably just me, but I am not a fan of a few of them. I really liked the one a few years ago with the lazy river guy. It was the most entertaining to me. We lent it out and never got it back. I guess I compare all other DVDs to that one. The new one seemed kind of generic to me.

The HCOE Vacation Planner was the last Hurrah of The planning DVD's...And still by far the best.:D

Any of the one's that were created like the CM's in the Sky with fake familes and how dreamy the parks are is absolutely terrible...

can we list the disney shows from netflix, i want to make sure i haven't missed anything

If you just go to "search" and type in "disney" it'll bring up 4 Disney Parks videos. One about WDW, one about DL, one about Disney Cruises... Maybe it was just 3?

Thanks for that... Will do a bit more searching!

Can't believe they don't do more park oriented shows etc as I'm sure plenty of people would be interested...

I would recommend going through youtube..There are quite a few specials and tv shows from the 70's-90's that are on there. And I watch these because of Nostalgic value. Here's a few I like...While some are corny..They still show Disney World in it's heydays and that's what people really miss.

Here are a few I like. These are full length versions..Sit back, relax and enjoy pure WDW Nostalgia..

The Grand Opening of Walt Disney World. No questions asked..Pure 70's awesomeness. You will be amazed how the park looks in 1971.

Welcome To The World (AKA The grand opening of Space Mountain) Very cheesy musical/comedy with Lucie Arnaz, Lyle Waggoner, & Tommy Tune

Epcot Center: The Opening Celebrartion - Danny Kaye is your host for a musical romp through the grand opening of Epcot Center. With Guest stars Drew Barrymore, Marie Osmond, Dreamfinder & Figment and you also get to see a segment of the Proposed Equitorial Africa section with a model! I thought that part was pretty cool

The Making of The Disney*MGM Studios

Walt Disney World 25th Anniversary Special

Continuing on...

Walt Disney World: Journey Into Magic - I assume this is a Souvineer video as it looks kinda corny but still pretty awesome

Hey and if your in a Christmas-ish mood..Here's the WDW Very Merry Christmas Parade from 1996

But Nothing says Nostalgic like Walt Disney World Inside Out. This show was the best as you got to see what was happening each and every week.

Is it also set to record reruns? Unfortunately most of the shows mentione are at least a few years old and their frequency on air has diminished.

If you want a real treat look up the Travel Channel Special that was done for Tokyo DisneySEA. It apparently was only in Travel Channel's rotation for a brief moment until Disney had it pulled as Disney's California Adventure was a serious disappoint. Can't go advertising an amazing park abroad when your newest park back home is a laughing stock.

A few of the Travel Channel documentaries are on Youtube

America's Thrillmakers: Walt Disney World

Disneyland Behind the Scenes

Disney's Best Kept Secrets

Disney's Imagineers

This one was not on travel Channel but Disney Channel
Walt Disney World: A Dream Come True
