WDW To Enforce FP+ Rules

I understand wanting to believe Disney is doing what they say they're going to do.

What I find odd is saying "people would be too embarrassed to admit it" as a counter to lack of evidence that it's happening. Maybe you just haven't really seen much of the internet to understand there are people who take pride in posting such exploits. They even post about doing actual crimes (far more serious than getting locked out of Disney). There's a whole world of people willing to post stuff online that you and I would never dream of...

If lockouts were happening in any substantial way, the word would get out. And not just in a vague "because they said they were going to!" way.

And yes, if it happened to me, I would absolutely post about it here, particularly in the context of this conversation, if for nothing else than to prove to people that Disney is in fact doing what it has claimed.

(to note: I wouldn't use this exploit even if it was still being allowed. Plenty of others would and did.)

Ok.

And I've seen plenty of the internet lol.i know what people will post about.

Why would someone be proud then? You keep focusing of my use of laughing at someone or embarrassing them, not sure why this is a focus for you. I just think most people won't brag about this. You seem to think they will. Guess we'll see how this progresses. I'm not saying no one will. This seems like a silly back and forth to me.

And why does it have to be "en masse"? They're doing it.

Just curious on how the crackdown on this has been. Is Disney actually locking accounts? If yes, has same day FP availability been increased (it should). Has it affected stand by times?

What they really need to do is to reactivate the second checkpoint on the fastpass lines to bust the line jumpers.!
I agree but it's, sadly, such a double edged sword. I used to work attractions that did not need to have Facepass shoehorned into them. Having Fastpass actually hurt these attractions (Hello, Pirates. Hello, Mansion). You can look a guest dead in the eyes and tell them "keep your ticket out, you're going to have to scan it again" and 80% of them won't keep their tickets out to scan again. They have to dig through their purse/wallet/pockets to find everyone's ticket to scan, kids throw a tantrum because they want to scan their own ticket... it was a huge problem. It was creating CRAZY backups in the Fastpass line which was creating crazier backups in the standby line. Maybe a compromise would be one person in each party scanning their fastpass a second time?

Shouldn't that problem be largely eliminated now that most people have a band around their wrist?

That's a whole other issue going on!
I understand and agree, but I'll bet line jumpers are a much bigger problem than multi-band cheaters and have the same or worse effect on the fastpass lines.
First offense, I think they should be escorted out of the attraction. If they get caught the third time in a day they should be escorted from the park.

I've also found Frozen and Mine Train to be a bit more available than before. Could be related, could not be. It's still not great because they're new and popular but it's better. Again it may not be because of the restrictions but it could be.
Yeah TSMM may just be because it's DHS and the third track definitely helped a lot, which I actually got to go on for the first time last weekend, for some reason always got routed up the stairs. It's literally exactly the same, the projection is a little bit brighter, but I found out load takes much longer on the third track.

That could be as well. And I should say I haven't checked day of for Frozen and Mine Train but as a passholder I wasn't really ever able to find them when I would do it 30 days out but now there's SOME availability. I'll have to keep an eye on day of. I don't care about Toy Story Mania so I never check that one lol

Zero reports of them doing this since the threat was put out. I call BS on Disney.

With Spirit dropping a hint that pay for FP+ is coming, I suspect they may wiggle in some new programming flags in the future though.

Definitely not bs I was a victim around a month ago. I was working at MK and made fast passes for myself to use after work. I didn't know I had to re enter the park as a guest...
