When did this go away? I was there in June, and I would've sworn that it was there.
Waking up Tinkerbell at Fairy Treasures
Chinese Chip and Dale. (Disclosure, not my family). I couldn't find just a picture of them. I remember them from when I was a kid.
The awesome rainbow space suit And, I cannot say for certain, but I'm pretty sure they had a character meal at the Odyssey restaurant in these outfits?? Every time I walk past that building now, I have a pop-up memory of them in their space suits, so that makes me think something related to the space suits happened there
EDIT: I googled the Odyssey, and lostepcot.com says, "The [Odyssey] restaurant served hot dogs, hamburgers, and salads for lunch, and beef stew, fried clams, and sweet and sour chicken for dinner. During the late 80s and early 90s, there was also a live show with characters to entertain guests at the restaurant called 'Mickey's Rockin' Celebration.'"
I knew there was something there with the characters!!
I don't remember what the shows were that I watched here, but I remember watching shows here.
Original Carousel of Progress ending
You can't see the cupcakes in this picture, but in the yellow cart behind the characters they used to sell the MOST.DELICIOUS.CUPCAKES for Mickey's Birthday!!! I miss those cupcakes And, no...the ones they sell now (although twice the size) are not as good.
Original Dumbo - where my poor mom and dad had to stand outside for hours in the heat waiting to take me and my siblings for ride after ride
The slides at River Country that I was terrified for so long to go down because of how far you fell into the pool
I really do miss River Country so much
The show they used to have at the Diamond Horseshoe. Such a classic! They still show it at DL. So great to see it there a couple years ago when the fam and I went west instead of east to get our Disney fix
The house from Adventures in Wonderland. I loved that show so much! I was absolutely enthralled that they had the house for it at MGM.
The circle bench in the waiting area of Alfredo's. I remember the fabric was so spiky and uncomfortable. When I was young, we ate at Alfredo's restaurant nearly (if not every) trip we took to WDW. By the time we would get there, I remember my brother, sister, and I would be just exhausted from walking around Epcot. We would try to lay down on this bench, and would get yelled at by the hostesses and our parents for being "improper." But it didn't matter any way because the spiky fabric was painful enough to make us bounce up pretty quickly regardless
There was a Totally Minnie show there in maybe the late 80's. I was looking at some pictures in an old album at home the other day and came across it. If I every get my photo scanner to work I'll post.
Still wish they would have moved these over to Fort Wilderness!
In some ways that looks more modern than whats there now!
I actually thought the same thing! Until I looked at the TV in all seriousness, I do think this scene should be revitalized and updated!!
Not sure, but I didn't see it last week...
