President of Progress City
My second year of College starts tommorow. I will still be checking out these threads for what new ideas I can come up with. But depending on the day I might be pretty busy. I still haven't forgotten about the indoor and outdoor concept art for the bunny burrow indoor and outdoor meet and greet of Thumper,Miss Bunny, and Thumper's sisters from last month @MonorailRed.
Good luck and enjoy it. It just goes by fast with each year :D

Mexico Attraction
El Rio del Tiempo - Part 2

Attraction - E-Ticket

d825beeaf950257f78395438bfb41ff3.jpg

The next showroom scene can be related to the Phoenician scene in Spaceship Earth, where we see Spanish Conquistadors land on Mexican soil. On the opposite side of the boat is a "Burning Rome" like scene, seeing the end of the Aztec culture.

Narrator: "As the the Aztec Empire fell in the 1500s, an empire began a new dawn for Mexico, brought by the Spaniards of Europe - Which took the great lands of Mexico for Spain."

BEKfya7CYAECk3W.jpg

Turning to the next show scene, showing a dark land soon lit up to a contemporary Mexico City.

Mexico.City.original.140.jpg

"This new dawn led to new ideas, and later a revolution for Mexico to be it's own land once again. A land of history, a land of enchantment, a land for all to explore - So, come - and see the wonders of Mexico."

Guests turn and see a grand Mexican fiesta. Life size audio animatronics fill the scenes on the scale of the "Burning the Town" sequence in Pirates of the Caribbean. The Song "El Rio de Tiempo" is played throughout the show scene. (6:11-9:42 of video)

As guests get closer to seeing cliff divers jumping off great falls, it seems the boat wants to take part in the festivities, and makes a drop down out of the show scene. (This fall would be around twice the size of the Pirates drop - So pretty noticeable.)

dark-cave-vietnam.jpg

The dip takes you through a small dark cave, where it then lead guests to the finale scene, which pays tribute to Día de los Metros. Cartoon-ish/Davis style Skeletons sing and dance around guests keeping the fiesta going from the past scene.

As the boat makes a turn, you arrive back in the small Mexican town guests started, with signs welcoming guests back as you disembark.

Nightmare Manor

Backstory

During the early late 19 century a young man named Charles Morgan was one of the first British explores to go deep into the jungle on a small boat. After exploring African rivers he explored the jungles of South America and Asia. He made riches by taking tourists on the rivers. He then returned to Africa and formed the jungle navigation company. It took tourists on top notch cruises on some of the most famous rivers in the world.

Now filthy rich he decided to make a mansion right next to his company's headquarters. Once the mansion was complete he started a family and had one daughter named Abigail. Now ready to get married her father disproves but is still willing to host the wedding in the mansion. Now everyone in the jungle is invited to the wedding.
IMG_1519.JPG

Entrance and Queue

A massive metal gate marks the entrance of Nightmare. Manor. On the side of the gate is a Haunted Mansion type sign for the ride while a other sign on top of the gate reads Morgan Manor.

The queue winds around a graveyard of dead jungle navigation company skippers. In true Jungle Cruise fashion they all die in puny ways. Leaving the graveyard the queue winds into the family garden. The queue also gives a look at the wedding as it is all set up and ready. The queue goes up towards the manor and stops in a small holding area.

Pre Shows

The main doors to the manor open and the holding area is welcomed inside quickly.

“Ah there you are. You're late the wedding is over and the reception has started.”

“Now it is my job to give you a tour of the Morgan Manor. We don't want you getting lost do we.”

“Proceed into the next chamber and our tour will begin.”

Portrait Gallery

“Here in this gallery is Where master Morgan hangs the portraits of his greatest achievements.”

“There's his favorite, Abigail his greatest achievement and a newly wed.”

A window opens and blows the candles lighting the room out.

“Sorry we’ll have the lights on in a moment.”

Looking up we can see a bride hanged dead above us. The light come back on and the doors on the opposite side of the room open.

Indoor queue/boarding area

We proceed into a large open hallway that gets tighter as we reach the end but still very open. We turn a corner and see a foyer with the infamous doom buggies passing through the center.

“I see you've boarded our doom buggies. They were created by an inventor that Morgan took on a cruise in Asia. They are named after the temple they explored.”

“Do not pull down on the safety bar. It will come down on it's own.”

The Bar lowers and the ride starts.

Scene 1

“The grand stair case. 999 people have fallen into the abyss below the stair case you don't want to be the thousandth do you.”

The grand stair case lite with black lights is surrounded by darkness except for another stair case with doom buggies on it.

Scene 2

“This endless hallway leads us closer to the ballroom. Luckily we don't have to go very far.”

At the end of the hall a ghostly bride holds a candelabra a disappears every couple of seconds.
tumblr_mvglbu9Ale1qzmfxbo1_500[1].jpg

Scene 3

The grand ballroom comes into view the doom buggies take a turn and go around a balcony over the ballroom on the opposite side of the way we came in is our exit.

“Sorry but our tour must end here I most join the party.”

On the ball room floor the groom is searching for his lost bride while Charles Morgan sits at the end of the table laughing and drinking wine. Many others are dancing to music being played by an organ.

Coming to the
3dbacaa8035d10d46c4a9d2a91a0c986[1].jpg
opposite side of the room that the long dead bride stands in the window staring down.

Scene 4
The ballroom scene ends and the doom buggies head down a creepy hallway of the manor. The purple paint peeling from the walls. The doors start to look more sinister some even getting banged on. A over look over the grave yard through a window shows the bride staring at the us. Turning back forwards the doom buggies head up the other stair case.

Scene 5

At the top of the second set of stairs is a room dedicated to the dark magic of the jungle. The room has a green glow to it and in the center a native woman in a rugged dress a long dark hair starts saying strange words. Around her are child size dolls helpings here in her ceremony some bang on drum others bow in sinc with the drums beat and another group chants strange words. All of the dolls have glowing bright green eyes.

Scene 6

Doom buggies enter the attic filled with artifacts crates and expired advertising. Wedding photos of Abigail and other grooms show that this isn't the first time she's been married. Doom buggies turn to reveal a bone old man wearing a top hat a holding a box. Inside the box is the mans head and whenever it appears in the box it disappears of his shoulders.
The Doom buggies start to turn before we see the bride standing in it’s path. Going backwards they tilt back and the doom buggy falls into the abyss below the stair case.( This is not the same room as before instead it's made to look the same.)

Scene 7

After falling into the abyss the surrounding area looks like a jungle swamp. Around the doom buggies skeletons and tons of ghosts party by singing dancing and playing exotic instruments. All to the tune of Grim Grinning Ghost the classic haunted mansion song. There is also a native war chant going on around the biggest tree in the abyss the natives are all ghosts too. After this exciting scene the doom buggies find their way back to the mansion.

Scene 8

The doom buggies return into the mansion through the green house. Not only are there a lot of exotic plants and some very big fly traps trying the eat the doom buggies. In the reflection of the glass there are ghosts sitting in each doom buggy and are going to follow us home.

Scene 9

The doom buggies pass the ball room once more but this time it is empty except the groom who is standing there smirking. Keen eyed riders could notice he doesn't have a ring on his finger and that specks of red blood appear on his once white shirt.

Scene 10

The doom buggies return to the portrait gallery and floating in the air in the center is the angry demonic bride attacking the buggies. ( This bride is going to be using the state of the art audio animatronic. It would be more fluid then Lincoln and the Pirates and the most advanced animatronic on Disney property when the ride opens in 1976.)
IMG_2205[1].jpg

Scene 11

The last scene is the most complex. Groups of 3 buggies are locked into a rotating room and watch as the bride grabs her new husband and pulls him into the under world. Scene is achieved through screens and the peppers ghost effect.

Scene 12

“There you are I hope nothing terrible happened to you and I hope you enjoyed the party.”

Our guide rejoins us as the doom buggies pass a grand portrait of Charles standing with his wife and newborn child. A small child stands next to the portrait.
“Come back, come back just remember to bring your death certificate.”

Exit
“Now exit the doom buggies and watch your step on the moving carpet.”

The exit is a lot like the boarding area but smaller and no queue space. The exit takes guests do a hall way and to a gift shop.

Gift Shop

The ride directly exits into Manor Memorabilia. The shop sells all sorts of Nightmare Manor merchandise. The shop is themed to look like a garden shed or workshop.

A path then leads guests back to the main path of Riverside Outpost, the land both the Jungle Cruise, Nightmare Manor and a plethora of shops are located.

May 12th 1875
Five years, one month, and five days after the discovery of Jade, was the discovery of the very thing the Vapetrams were after; gold; but it was also the death of Harrison Vapetram, when he was bitten by a rattlesnake and plummeted to his doom that same day when gold was found in the northwestern side of the mountain, and it was the day when the Vapetram's luck turned. When Edmund Vapetram became head of Vapetram Mineral Co., he didn't do what his father did when he was still alive; he didn't rationalize his ore supply. You see; when Harrison was still alive, he planned how much ore would be mined in the caverns, however, his son; and many workers; saw this as a waste of time and money, but now gold fever was aroused and this was quickly forgotten. Soon Edmund used his steampunk knowledge and dug a canal to connect the existing river to where the gold was found, built a railroad that ran from Shardton to the various mining camps, and even built a gondola lift system from town to the gold mining site, just across the canal. Then, nearly a year later, the mines camps at many places started getting crowded from those who moved from older mining camps, townsfolk left for better places, machinery were left in abandonment; the Vapetram Mineral Company was going bankrupt. Desperate to keep his town and company alive, Edmund only made matters worse by telling his mining employees to dig deeper into the mountains, but work was slow because people were leaving, so Edmund decided his best option; his only option; was to build a mobile drill twice the size of his original prototype. Then on October 31st, 1875, a disaster struck the mountain and neighboring towns. As Edmund drill deep into the heart of the mountain, geysers long thought to be dormant erupted, rivers were carved downwards to the bottom of the mountain and completed a path when a cave collapsed and carved its way to where the canal was built, machinery toppled down the mountainside, buildings in Shardton collapsed when the "main river" carved its way through, and the drill; and Edmund Vapetram; were no more.

Two-thirds of the way done. The story is complete, but soon we shall explore Shardton and Vapetram Peak!

Were you preferring this to go in the America Park, the Adventureland-style Park, or the Magic Kingdom Park?:bookworm:

Just so I can sort it in the right area on the main page :D

So, I'm working on the attractions for World Boardwalk first, then in depth on each pavilion.... I'm pretty much following my list which is out of order time wise, but in order map wise....

Mexico - Disneyland Pirates of the Caribbean style El Rio del Tiempo attraction
Brazil - "Pull the Lever Kronk" Simulator
Morocco - Circlevision-ish show
Egypt - Alien-Encounter Style attraction inside a Pyramid with Egyptian Gods/Mummies
South Africa - Train attraction that takes guests to the WDW Wildlife reserve.
Jordan - Indiana Jones attraction uncovering history from the City of Petra Walkthrough. (Much better version of Poseidon's Fury at Islands)
Greece - Dark ride attraction featuring the Muses from Hercules explaining heroes in Greek Culture.
Italy - Maelstrom/Everest hybrid attraction through Italian history.
Germany - Brother's Grimm Cove - Kids play area/flat rides.
United Kingdom - Welsh Dragon E-Ticket attraction
Norway - Norse Mythology Coaster
France - Attraction of riding a retro Scooter vehicle down the streets of France, later revised with Ratatouille Characters.
Spain - @tcool's stuff. Nuff said.
Japan - Myth and Folklore Maze
India - Jungle Book Style Show
Thailand - New Style Circlevision
China - Mushu and the Quest for the Lemon Tree Mulan dark ride
Russia - Circlevision with AAs
Australia - Nemo the Musical.
South Pacific - Moana Attraction
Canada - Kali River Rapids style ride and a Exploration area

So Next is the "Pull the Kronk" Simulator Attraction....

It says Brazil, but as noted by @tcool123 and @spacemt354 I'll probably just change it to a Peru Pavilion.

Then again.... Looks like the Incan Empire took over pretty much all of the West side of South America :hilarious:

incamap2.jpg

Should I just do a "Coastal South America" Pavilion similar to the "Equatorial Africa" pavilion that was supposed to happen?

AO%2001.jpg

Do you think that's technically game for a "World Showcase" Pavilion? :bookworm:

This is a water park, so I'd say put it in America Park area, if Adventureland Park or Magic Kingdom park doesn't have steampunk and American western theming.
