I used too, but stopped a long time ago. I saw that a lot of them were the same, only with subtle differences here and the so I just stopped. The last one I got was probably for the second year of a million dreams and I can't remember how long ago that was.

If you want a good planning DVD, youtube some of Universal's. Each one of their resort sections are about 8 minutes long, compared to Disney's non-existant resort coverage. I've said it before - The Disney planning DVD's and brochures from AAA are utterly useless for anyone not familiar with WDW. For a 1st timer, they would be no help at all.

I have a nice UK 'Holiday Planning DVD' collection from 2004 to 2010 and have some Universals ones too :) The 2005 Happiest Celebration On Earth with Ben Shephard is the best one. The last few UK ones are exactly the as the US one which suck unfortunately.

I haven't in a couple years because they are pretty much the same thing with little additions here and there. When they were completely different every year, I used to do it every year.

I haven't ordered one in years.... I have too much 'stuff' and one day I can see myself in the news for 'elderly recuse crushed to death by piles of crap in his home. Police say he was fatally struck by a Dinsey snow globe that was perched on thousands of Disney trip planning DVDs along with copies of six versions of each 'Disney classic' that was retired and back in the Disney vault for the remainder of the century.'

But, a cute aside, one of my friends has never been to WDW. The stars have finally aligned and he will be coming down for a few days on my next trip. He had ordered the planning DVD and after I convinced him to join me. He watched it and over the next few days he kept sending me messages on what he wanted to do/did not want to do. We are there for 3 days together (I stay for 6 additional - go me!) and I had to say, I don't think it is possible to go to Blizzard Beach and do two rides and then go to Downtown Disney and then go to Animal Kingdom for a ride and then back to MK.... But it is great to see his excitement starting to build.

I usually do, to build up that excitement. Just recently I had one sent to my god-daughter under her name so that it would come in the mail for her. The day it arrived, her Mom text me "Elle got her Mickey Mail!!!" She was so happy and waited for me to watch it with her. We are taking her in November so she is really excited for her first trip!

Has Disney's general theme changed since the 50th ended? It's been Celebrate Today/You/Birthdays/Volunteering for who knows how long...

You know what, I honestly can't remember or keep up with all the changes. It was the 50th back in 2005 and some of 2006. Years of a million dreams from 06 to 07. Then was it celebrate you? And then they had the whole give a day get a disney day. Let the memories begin and what's the scheme for this year, I don't even know. Does anyone have a detailed list of all the celebrations wdw has ever done for marketing? This could be interesting.

I'm not even sure. This year is Limited Time Magic but still Celebrate You or Celebrate Today or something?

It's funny how jumbled they've become the past few years. Time for something completely new.

*edit*

It's also weird how I can't remember the last time wdw was not celebrating something. Maybe 1998? It was either the 25th, millennium celebration, 100 years of magic, magical gathering. Ok I'm getting a headache.
