Upgrade Park Ticket to Annual Pass - When does it expire?

Hi all,

I'll have to call Disney tomorrow but wanted to ask here first. We purchased a 7 day Hopper ticket back in Feb from undercover tourist for WDW. When we went to WDW in March, before we ever used the ticket, we upgraded it to an Annual Pass. We were planning to go back in late Feb 2013 but when we looked at the Annual Pass it says it expires on Feb 9th? How could this be? I thought that the expiration for tickets and AP's ran from the time you activated them, not when you purchase them. The pass was upgraded and activated on March 7th so should it not be good until March 6th 2013?

It looks like you may have had a CM upgrade your pass incorrectly. There are a couple possibilities.
When they upgraded the ticket you bought from the reseller, they may have backdated it to the actual sale date for the ticket you bought from UCT. Another is that if the expiration date is a field they have to manually type in during the upgrade process and not automatic, they may have made a typo.

In either case, the Ticketing Office *should* hopefully be able to research the transaction and fix the error on your passes. You can't get to them through the regular WDW numbers.
Instead, call the WDW Main Switchboard at 407-824-2222 and ask to be connected to the Ticketing Office (the office keeps 9-5 operating hours, not the more expanded hours of CRO). If the operator inquires the purpose of your call (to weed out people who may just be calling to buy tickets) make sure to say that you have a problem with your existing tickets so that they don't send you to Central Reservations.

And as a side note, it's generally suggested that you *use* tickets to enter a park before upgrading them. That way you a) make sure you get the current gate-price value in the upgrade, and b) to lock in the date that they'd back-date the newly upgraded AP to be and make it more obvious what it should be.
