Im just wondering why we havent seen the trackless ride system make its way over to the states yet. As much as I would enjoy it in WDW im just surprised it hasnt even been brought over to DL yet. Anyone have any insight into this? Or even any possible rides that could be built using it?

MiceAge is reporting that Luigi's Flying Tires will be converted into a trackless ride, probably not too unlike Aquatopia at Tokyo DisneySEA.

Actually, Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin at Sea World is a trackless ride.

One Little Spark...
Lets be clear. Trackless rides are not "trackless". They just involve scanners and lines.

Youknow, stuff that fails far more often than a good ol' piece of metal.

They offer a lot of possibilities, but they also require a lot more detailed maintenance.
