Toy Story Playland

Opening Summer 2010 at Disneyland Paris
Toy Story Playland has the BIGGEST new family attractions. They're GIANT – when you're shrunk to the size of a toy! Join the toys for playtime in Andy's backyard where everyone can explore this oversized world with its three larger-than-life rides – Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop, Slinky Dog Zig Zag Spin and RC Racer. Andy's away and the toys are ready to play!
Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop
Attention! Your mission – join Andy's troops for a high flying adventure – Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop. When Sarge yells “Go! Go! Go!”, hold on tight as you fall from way up high in a simulated parachute drop. Over and out!!
Slinky Dog Zig Zag Spin
Everyone's tongues and tails are wagging about the all-new "zigzag-a-coaster" Slinky Dog Zig Zag Spin. Family pups of all sizes will howl with laughter as they join Slinky in a rollicking spin to catch his own tail. It's barking mad fun in Toy Story Playland.
RC Racer
Andy's speediest toy car is sure to get you and your family's adrenaline pumping. RC Racer is the most thrilling new ride in Toy Story Playland. Race along a 25 metre-high half-pipe coaster, as RC zooms you around at full speed... it's a real gas.

The Parachute drop seems to be what they wanted to do to DCA's Maliboomer, meets Jumping Jellyfish lol

Not sure how I feel about this. The park is being expanded, sure, but is this really what WDS needs? DLP fans aren't too happy, especially since the land has low-capacity and the giant structures ruin the sightlines around the studios.

Ah, good...It needs it! :)

Interesting that they are putting this into HKDL, too.

Disney Parks strikes again!:ROFLOL:at least they'll be international.

I really hope the Ratatouille E-ticket comes true for 2012, that and with DLP next store would have me sold. I hope I would have enough saved to visit come 2012 DLR and TDR or DLR and DLRP

Yeah, i'm hoping the rumored Ratatouille ride comes true. WDS needs a big unique E-Ticket to really set it apart from the other parks. TSPL, while fun for kids, doesn't add much capacity to the park. Although i'm very much against cloning, I think TSMM would have been a better fit for this area.

I agree I think TSMM! would have been a better fit for both parks and they could totally play up the box front(similar to when the trams into the box and like Flicks Fun Fair's entrance)

I was wondering what the Toy story adverts were for exactly when I was there at Christmas, I guess this answers that!

I totally agree this land should not be built in either parks because it reaks of Dinorama and A bugs land!

The concept art makes it look pretty good. A better detailed ride like TSMM would've fit better, but that they're putting in isn't horrible. However, it just doesn't feel "Disney" to me.

Right, it looks good in the concept. The shoe prints are a nice little touch, and it looks like it will nicely detailed. My issue with the land, however, are the giant structures that will tower over it. In Flik's Fun Faire, there are giant leafs that create a sort of canopy over the land - creating the illusion that you've shrunk to the size of a bug.. the land is tucked away and secluded to immerse guests.

The attractions, although themed, just appear to be out-of-the-box bog standard rides. Nothing that special from Disney. Think maybe this PLUS TSMM would have been a better solution. I hope the E-Ticket comes soon.
