Manta at SeaWorld San Diego is not the same as Manta at SeaWorld Orlando. And Mack has built seven of their Launch Coaster type.

I looked up a ride video for that ride and it still looks for intense than Slinky. And embarrassingly enough, far better themed than Slinky will be.

I also think Slinky is likely to go slower than Manta. I personally don't see it topping 35mph... Manta hits about 45.

Manta at seaward san diego is pretty darn tame. Its super smoother and very low to the ground. It likely hits 45 from the launch in the beginning. I think we'd be lucky to get a ride like that!

I'm just going off the POV concept video that Disney released and the POV of Manta SD and Slinky looked tamer.

I'd have to agree in large part. It actually surprises me that they aren't using a tire launch like Hulk at universal instead of the LIM's as it would be more reliable and cheaper to fix. LIM's tend to hate rain for understandable reasons.

I suspect 7DMT is probably the closest comp. This should be slightly more thrilling than Barnstormer due to length/speed.

It sounds like screens will be blocking the parking garage from the rest of the land. And based on road closures, I'd assume soon.

That's a pretty good approximation. The launches will not be intense.

That makes sense. TSL is the kids area for the park. It's like Dinorama or Fantasyland/Circus... Now each park, save Epcot will have something. The E-ticket for TSL will still be TSMM.

I would argue it won't have an E. D, C, and B. Slink probably would have been a D as originally envisioned.

What would've made Slinky a D from it's current iteration? I don't consider light theming such as trenches a big loss when the coaster is so exposed. I do remember the track design was changed though, how big of a difference did that make?
