Tower of Terror neon sign refurb underway

The Tower of Terror neon sign is getting a refurb. A crane is onsite. Ride remains open as normal.

I think you might be OK. Most of the work is going to be done out of hours, and the crane is being hidden.

Good. They have not been working appropriately for awhile (portions completely burnt out, portions that are supposed to flash just off).

I thought the sparks were only used for promotional video and during events. Did the sign spark when "regular" guests rode it?

I agree, that elevator is really dangerous!

The rig was deactivated but I don't know when.

What I do know is it is still intact and still functional - minus the actual grinder pads - if you know what to do

No. It was a show element, like Catastrophe Canyon.

What was an issue was possible brush fires below it.
