The Most *Magical* Anniversary Trip!

This is going to be a long trip report ~so be ye warned~ :D It was a 10 day trip. I will post it by days with pictures to break it down a little. (I took over 1400 photos, don't worry I won't post them all..:ROFLOL:

First of all, as many of you know this trip was for our 15th Anniversary. I had no idea how even more magical Disney can make a special event like this. I
was blown away by the many Happy Anniversaries from Cast Members and even characters that noticed our buttons. Not to metion the many special things. (A big Thank you to any and all CMs that may read this... you guys were all great! :wave:)
Words simply cannot describe this trip, but I will try and I think that the pictures will speak for me.

This trip was also our first ever onsite stay and we will never ever stay offisite again!

Day 1 ... (not as much to tell here since we did not go to the parks this day)
This was the day that we drove down. We started at 4:00 am. :snore: We only made quick stops to eat and rest breaks.
We arrived in Oralndo to a pretty big thunderstorm so the pictures I took are not that great on this day.

After we got settled we wandered around the resort and then headed to DD to shop and eat at Fulton's Crab House. The food was good but a bit overpriced IMO but the service was great.
We went back to the resort to rest as we were all tired from the long drive down.

Day 5 Chef Mickey's MK and LTT
We packed so much into this day so it will take me awhile to get through it..

First we started at Chef Mickey's for breakfast which was great!
I took so many pics here are just a few of them...

First.. our celebration for our anniversary which we loved!

I can't get get the picture of our cupcake to load....:mad: but anyway they brought one out with a candle and Pluto grabbed DH and I from behind and gave us a big hug.

Minnie was hilarious she made DS get up and give her a hug he was going through the I am too old for this stage but he got more into after that.

and while this is not the best shot I took of Goofy, I just had to share this , the table next to us had a little girl about 2 that was terrified of the characters, Goofy came up to her and she started crying really hard and he started crying and sat down, laid his head on the table and really sobbed, reaching over for a napkin off the table while his head was still down and he blows his nose really loud and kept wiping the tears away. It worked she looked at him like well what are you crying for. It was just too cute. Here is a pic of him crying.

More day 5 highlights.
I guess you can tell that the Magic Kingdom is our favorite park.. we had enough time to do every other park at least twice.
It was another scorcher but a beautiful day. Is it just me or does MK feel cooler than the other parks??

Next came my favorite parade moments..
As the Princess floats were passing by
The Fairy God Mother told me Happy Anniversary..
I know that it may seem silly but it just made my day. :eek:
I smiled and told her Thank you and she waved her wand at me,
nodded & smiled.
I am afterall a little girl at heart, DH laughed so hard at me.
I wish I would have gotten a picture but I was too surprised..lol
I think I snapped this one right before...

It is Chip, he pointed first to me and DH and our buttons
and waved then spotted DD and her Chip & Dale shirt..
he pointed ar her shirt and then to himself
with a big aww I am so touched gesture then blew her a kiss.

I will only post a few more pics of day five since we are barely halfway into the trip....:lookaroun

Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern was really great.
I thought the food was very good and we loved the atmosphere.

A few of the pics

This first one was very cute. DS took the picture from his seat
so it was kind of close but you can get the idea/
Pluto pointed to our buttons and made DH get on one knee
while holding my hand and Pluto made a heart behind us.

Since we had already seen Spectro we decided to ride some more rides, we rode Splash at night, a first, it was beautiful and no one was riding.. Spectro was passing as we went around after the drop.


We found a decent spot for Wishes, I didn't take any pictures but did video it.

Us To.Never off site again.It makes for such a different experience.glad you had a great trip.We did to.

Day 6 DAK

As soon as we went through the gate DH & DS headed to EE.
DD was not sure about it after her ride last trip.
So we headed over to Camp Minnie-Mickey instead.
We stopped to see Lilo & Stich on the way.

The greeting trails had barely anyone there so we had alot of fun with the characters.

Then we were off to catch up with the guys and ride Kali River Rapids,
we rode it twice and were totally soaked, needless to say..
so we dried off a little while walking the Mahara Jungle Trek

We ate at Flame Tree Barbecue for lunch and then headed towards EE
DD was ready to ride.

Thank you for sharing! It made me smile when you told about the Fairy Godmother wishing you a Happy Anniversary. During the MVMCP parade she wished the little boy beside me a Happy Bday. I think that's great!

BTW, Congrats on 15 years!

Thank you so much! It was really great. There really were so many special things on this trip! :)

Now for Boma ... We had never eaten here
or seen the Animal Kingdom Lodge.
WOW to both! That place is beautiful
and the food at Boma was great.
We all love spicy food so it was a big hit.

We took in the first showing of FOTLK, great show!

Went to see Nemo for the first time,
we didn't get to it our last trip.
We were all very impressed. It was a wonderful show!
I didn't take pics on this one because I was too busy watching.


Then we hit EE for two last rides and for DH to pose for a few silly pics

where we were given VIP seats..

and these guys called us up to the stage for our anniversary,
they gave us a copy of their CD
Sang to us and suggested DH give me a kiss

After we played and took some more pictures
it was time to head to EPCOT and Coral Reef where we also got free champagne and ended the day at EPCOT

DH took this picture of DD assuring me
that it was okay "We'll be back soon"
as we walked down Main Street for the last time.

Bought a few things and then headed home
stopping at the beach for a quick walk in the surf on the way.
