The Figgy family road trip! Or how to go without sleep

Spoiler alert, free stuff and soft openings are fun. Ok, here we go! Things started off differently than planned to say the least. A small tropical system was heading up 95N so we went west and took 81S into South Carolina before we saw any sun. This added somewhere between 2 and 3 hours to our trip but it was worth it as we kept hearing 95 wasn't the road to be on that day! From 81 we headed across 77 and found something that made me think about our dear @real mad hatter I think I might just have found his second favorite place in the states! Frugal Mc Dougal's discount beverage center, the place had a sign with a goofy looking guy with a kilt on it The rest of the trip to Georgia was quiet and we spent the night at the Super 8 in Brunswick. It was clean quiet and cheap. We got a good 8 hours sleep and we would need it as the rest of the trip we never seemed to get much

Sorry I did wish all of my friends from here were able to be there at the same time. Now that would be truly magical!

Oh! It's fine, because I wasn't expecting it because I really didn't have any impact on the trip so I was just kidding, but It would be truly magical if all the family could go at the same time!!

Ahhhhh...Ain't it strange how 47 square miles of land affects us all in different ways..Puts a smile on our faces..Weight on our stomachs...Less weight in our wallets...Brings families closer together..And gives us some of our best memories in our lifetime.

OMG there were so many!!!!!!!!!!!!! Meeting @Pooh'sBuddy and @MouseDreaming!!!!!!!!!!!!! My ds being the rebel spy twice in one day! Being the captain on the BLT. James birthday dinner at BOG!!!!!!!!! But the most magical was spending the day with @disneysince71 and her lovely son Nick! I can't even explain in words how magical that day was!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome..Agree that when we watch our vacation DVD,it brings back so many magical moments from last year.Thankfully I wasn't being recorded at the time,but on our first night,walking thro the turnstile at MK,as we were all holding hands and then there she was,in all her splendour.Cinderella's Castle.. I squeezed my DS hand and he said.." Oh naw mum,Dads gonna start crying again." I swear the older I get,the softer I get..

One thing I also forgot to mention is on the way down I was thinking about @DisneyDelirious being stuck in the tropical storm, I just glad he didn't do too much damage to the red headed wench

Jealous that you guys got to see the soft opening for Atlantis. I keep trying to figure out how/when we're going to make it over there. As usual, I hate seeing a good TR wind down, but it's been fun

No it looks like it might be 2 years until we get back The downside is Jim will be furloughed starting next week. Fridays off no pay that will last until October, the bright side is the trip was over 2 weeks long and we had a great time.
