Star Wars Weekends 2014

Hammill is not signing, so no need to worry there.

I'm beginning to wonder with such a huge collection of celebrities and with the Anniversary of the original/filming of the sequels; if Disney isn't going to perhaps make an announcement during that weekend......

Not saying it will happen, but if ever there were a better time to put out some information about either the movies or an expanded Star Wars role in the park.............

Hard to get hopes up though. Disney hasn't exactly had any blockbuster announcements when expected of late.

wow! well, maybe i will be skipping the autograph sessions unless i can get the family out the door at 1 am. then again, we will be staying at beach club so we shall see. i wouldn't even attempt to get in line for Mark Hamill. really no interest there.
I really don't think Mark will sign. His autographs fetch $125 +/- each at conventions. He can easily make 5 figures a day doing this. Having him sign for free would both devalue what he gets at conventions and would cost Disney a heap of change.

He is only supposed to do a panel and be in the parade, I think. Really kinda sucks because I would love a chance just to get a picture with him.:(

There will be queues set up outside the parks. Depending on the popularity of the guest lines can begin in the wee hours in the morning. At some point they will hand out fastpasses for the autographs. You must have a fastpass to get one and you can only get one autograph per pass. No exceptions.
Ok. How early would you suggest queuing up for Peter Mayhew on 5/16?

You can tell my Star Wars fandom is in the "I enjoy it" only category when I read all these big names and my only reaction is "John Ratzenberger! Hamm!" :hilarious: My favorite Toy Story character. I am so excited!

I will be there the 24th and part of the 31st. I hope he has some kind of show or something, since I don't do the autograph thing.

We'll be there the first and last weekends this year. We've only done first weekends and the crowds weren't too bad. I'm a little nervous about the last weekend crowds. It really won't bother me, but my son is coming from LA to do this for the first time, and I really want him to have a good time.

I thought the same thing! :hilarious: I'm sad we won't be there the weekend he will be there.

....and enough America bashing. The rest of the world does enough of it. If I'm not mistaken, it's common in some European cultures to purge in the middle of a large meal to make room for more. That'd get you diagnosed with an eating disorder here.
I actually find it ironic how you want others to "stop bashing america" when you at the same time end your sentence bashing European cultures.

That is the million dollar question. I would not get there any later than 6:00 AM. If it were me I would get there even earlier than that especially if it is a Saturday or Sunday.

The reality is that if you get there too early the worst thing that can happen is you will loose a few hours of sleep. To late...well you know that story.

Ok, that's what I was thinking. Thanks for your help! :)

I can't imagine getting there at 6am to meet Peter, dude does damn near every con in the nation on an annual basis.

Met him last year at Monster Mania, it left much to be desired honestly. Maybe his mood has improved after his surgery.

With how expensive this is, I probably won't do it with no TiW. It'd be cool, but not $55 cool. I'll watch a video of it on YouTube while eating dinner and the Star Wars score playing in the background and pretend I'm there.

Catching up on posts. Good thing I only went with the breakfast. It's the classic SW characters. Not travelling with kids so Disney characters in SW outfits at dinner not as much of a draw for me. Doing both is a LOT of money.
