I think it is just random programing. I have seen it do it when no one was anywhere near it. It' just a matter of bad timing if you are hit. Luck of the draw, so to speak.

I thought that anyone could make him spit at anytime as long as they knew where the "button" was. My mischievous kids would have loved spitting on people

There's someplace on Kali where you can spray unsuspecting riders from a bridge.Uh really.

That's true.
Unless said person was wearing a poncho and put the hood down thinking she wasn't getting any wetter.
She made me pay by making me go on it with my brother. Although she showed mercy and gave me the poncho.
I kept the hood up until I was safely out of the ride.
