Spirit Airlines vs Southwest Airlines, help please!

Spirit has no non stops to MCO out of Kansas City International, with total time being 6-8 hours, versus 3 hours for SWA. If Spirit offered non stops at convenient times, I'd give them a try.

I used to fly American for years, still do on occasion. I had a Business trip to L.A. one year and flew SouthWest. Since then I try to book SouthWest first. I've had great experience with them and the prices are usually fair. I've booked flights with Spirit for a friend and honestly just feel they aren't consumer friendly. I felt that even though the price was ok I was still being tipped upside down and shaken for all my money.

I don't know about where you are but I checked when I first booked Southwest and it would have ended up costing us over $700 more to fly Spirit, plus; Spirit we would not have arrived until 8:30 in the evening where on Southwest we arrive at 11:00 am and the Spirit flight left earlier in the morning!
