Guardians of the Galaxy coming to Energy Pavilion at Epcot

The Guardians of the Galaxy is coming to Epcot. It will replace the Energy Pavilion. No completion date as of yet. The Energy Pavilion will be closing August 13th, 2017.

Hello everyone,

I wanted to make a dedicated thread to this rumor. The Energy pavilion is supposedly closing in September to make way for a ride based on Guardians of the Galaxy. Phase 2, which is not green lit yet. Will add another Guardians ride to the Wonders of Life pavilion. Please let me know if I need to update any of my information.

• Wonders might get a GotG phase 2, not yet green lit..
  
• Communicore (outside of mouse gear and starbucks, possibly club cool) will be updated/overhauled, green lit.
  
• Mission Space will get a refurb/update, green lit.
  
• There are plans for Imagination, but not green lit.
• Land will remain as is
• Seas will remain as is
• Test Track will remain as is

I'm going to try to stay up with the rumor. I leave and come back and it's already at page 117. I hope so though if it is true. I haven't even been to Ellen's Energy though or the Universe thing. Meant to go this last time. I am just so eager to drink.

Slightly off topic, does this mean that ToT in DCA is still getting the GOTG overlay? Since it sounds like there will be a purpose built attraction for Epcot, could it potentially make it's way over to the into the new Marvel Land and save ToT there?

This feels weird. On one hand, Guardians of the Galaxy feels so inherently un-EPCOT.

On the other hand, UoE and WoL feel so inherently un-Future World.

Poor Ellen and BIll Nye. If the ride portion was faster, and the car seats not so uncomfortable, I would go on Energy every visit.
I do enjoy the Ellen movie part.
I will miss you Ellen, even if no one else does.
