"Variety reports that Erin Cressida Wilson, who penned the recent movie adaptation of The Girl on the Train, is in talks to write the script for the remake. It will reportedly expand on the music and story from the 1937 classic.

The movie will include new songs from songwriters Benj Pasek & Justin Paul, who recently wrote the lyrics for the upcoming Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone film, La La Land."
It's finally happened. Snow white is getting the live action treatment and it's also a full fledged musical.

That's going to be changed significantly as the old character probably won't translate well into modern day live action.

Why is Disney remaking all of their good and relevant animated movies in live action? I don't get it... Especially Snow White, the first Disney classic
That started them all. How come they won't remake The Black Hole, or how about The computer that wore tennis shoes? Or what about 20,000 leagues under the sea? Why can't they produce something new rather than modern day rehashing?
