Makes sense to me but I remember tickets like that. It wasn't just Disney it was other places that had different tickets at different prices. Let's say E ticket was 50 cents a piece an A ticket may be 10 cents a ticket.

Let me say that A tickets were 10 cents, B's were 25, C's were 40, D's were 70, and E's were 85 for adults and 75 for children.

Right before EPCOT Center opened, when the downfall of the ticket book system came, the E Tickets were:
  • Jungle Cruise
  • Pirates of the Caribbean
  • Country Bear Jamboree
  • The Haunted Mansion
  • The Hall of Presidents
  • "it's a small world"
  • 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (RIP)
  • Space Mountain

From the beginning they had sold "Adventure Books" with every type of ticket in them. The amount varied from 1971 to 1980, which was the last year of the A, B, C, D, E ticket system. I'm going to pretend that we're going to the Magic Kingdom on October 1, 1971.

We still have to pay General Admission before going into the park. These are the costs:
  • Adults - $3.50 in 1971, $20.62 today
  • Juniors - $2.50 in 1971, $14.73 today
  • Children - $1.00 in 1971, $5.89 today

The ticket prices are as follows:
  • 1 A Ticket - 10 cent in 1971, 59 cents today
  • 1 B Ticket - 25 cents in 1971, $1.47 today
  • 1 C Ticket - 50 cents in 1971, $2.95 today
  • 1 D Ticket - 75 cents in 1971, $4.42 today
  • 1 E Ticket (Juniors and Children) - 80 cents in 1971, $4.71 today
  • 1 E Ticket (Adults) - 90 cents in 1971, $5.30 today

There were also a few free attractions:

  • Cinderella Castle
  • Pinocchio Village (RIP)
To experience all of these (including general admission), you would need to pay $18.40 for adults, $16.80 for juniors, and $15.30 for children. Today, that's $108.42 for adults, $98.99 for juniors, and $90.15 for children. Holy moly.

Probably long before I go there, no plans to visit La - La land anytime soon. Did you hear it is on fire after the drought? The locusts and flood will be along any day now and then the big one on the San Andreas will just finish the job.

I was asking when USF was getting a Donkey Kong ride.

Only because I don't want to search through 28 pages of this, but what are the rumblings about how this ride is going to be on the inside? Last thing I read was 3/4 screens and a few AA's *sigh*

That'll be enough to sell me. Gringotts was a terrible encore performance to Forbidden Journey IMHO, but I'll take a ton of screens playing images of Skull Island if it gets me a massive Kong AA.
