SHUTTLE LAUNCH EXPERIENCE

1. Visitors would enter the attraction along a gantry-styled walkway into a building architecturally inspired by space-shuttle processing facilities at Kennedy Space Center.
2. Inside they would take part in the simulation briefing, which goes step by step through the launch sequence. Large format projection screens plus in-theater effects heighten the experience.
3. Next, it would be off to the "crew compartment," where visitors are strapped in to experience the sensations of liftoff.
4. Visitors would end their journey by traveling along a spiral ramp that leads them from the edge of space back to Earth.

The whole experience from pre-show to the simulation sounds eerily familiar.

However, from what they've announced, it sounds like it may just be an average flight simulator dressed up a bit. If the simulation doesn't pull any sustained G's greater than normal gravity (another article mentioned that at no time will the simulation have sustained G's greater than 1, although certain turns of the simulator may create some G's as it moves around), I can't imagine the simulation will even come close to replicating the realistic, yet water-downed, sensations of launch as Mission:Space supposedly does.
