Yeah that's why I rephrased my original post.Maybe that's part of the "show" for circus banners to have that look, or am I totally off-base.
They do replace them from time to time. They swapped out Test Tracks not too long ago after they faded.Welcome to the most popular theme park in the world!
It was weird when all the Beauty and the Beast were missing for a day.Studios recently got new signs at the main autoplaza and in the fantasmic/beauty and the beast side of the park. All of the signs around the park fade relatively quickly, but sometimes it takes a while to get new ones installed. They don't necessarily have them just lying around, and because of their size, they take a little bit to get made.
Also to take into consideration is how little time Magic Kingdom is closed nightly. With the longest hours of any of the parks, day in and day out, stuff like this gets pushed to the side while ride maintenance and park cleaning, etc gets the priority. Most attractions are running a half hour to hour after park close and will start opening as early as two hours before so that leaves very little time for work like this to be done.

I definitely don't think it would be quick to have them printed and such, but I just found it interesting that they don't have at least one set of replacements laying around somewhere.Studios recently got new signs at the main autoplaza and in the fantasmic/beauty and the beast side of the park. These are posters. Not running attractions. One former billboard installer can do this in a couple of hours, at most.
No doubt these are faded and should be replaced soon, but as others have said, it's a constant battle against the Florida sun. Not sure they warrant their own thread or truly represent a pattern of decline in show quality. Just my opinion.
They may not warrant there own thread, and I probably should've put it in general discussion but I have noticed that it is a trend. Faded paint isn't as noticeable as faded postersNo doubt these are faded and should be replaced soon, but as others have said, it's a constant battle against the Florida sun.
