Well, thats not distracting at all...

What is with the placement of on-ride cameras on banked curves these days? Space Mountain has the camera in a similarly awkward location.

What is with the placement of on-ride cameras on banked curves these days? Space Mountain has the camera in a similarly awkward location.

Here's my unprofessional observation from last night.

1) It's on a downhill. This would be so that nobody is blocking your face
2) It's on a bank. This would be to try and get the most "surface area" of your face/body.
3) There is a camera on each side of the track (I have photos of each here). This would ensure that you aren't accidentally looking away.

My two cents at least
