SDL Haunted Mansion

Alright Imagineers, here's your challenge (no points or winner or anything, just a brainstorm)! Every Magic Kingdom style Disney theme park in the world has some version of the Haunted Mansion dark ride. In Disneyland, Magic Kingdom Park, and Tokyo Disneyland, there are copies of the original story of 999 happy haunts. In Disneyland Park in Paris, a new story based on the original, telling about the despair of a haunting phantom and a depressed bride, was put into place. Finally, in Hong Kong, an explorer's estate is overtaken by a cursed music box that brings his discoveries to life. In all of these parks, the ride is in a different land (New Orleans Square, Liberty Square, Fantasyland, Frontierland, Mystic Point). However, the plans for Shanghai Disneyland show no sign of a Haunted Mansion attraction.

If you were an Imagineer tasked with creating a Haunted Mansion spinoff for post-opening Shanghai Disneyland what would you do. Try and keep it in a unique land, with a unique (or not) conept! Have fun with it and good luck!

I had a little fun with this. I did a Medieval times like "Mansion". It'd be in Fantasyland, you enter through a mysterious forest..

And there's the main structure you see form the outside, but it's not a Mansion.

It's a Castle. Well, ruins of a castle.

The guests get to walk in through castle "ruins" in a tower. You see murals of different murals, a green light illuminates the mural, and it feels like the tower is getting taller and reconstructed (Stretching room mixed with new technology). When you hear a voice in the background telling you of an evil wizard, who was going to marry the king's daughter. The king, last minute, cancelled the wedding. The wizard then was angered, and casted a spell that made the kingdom and it's people disappear.

So, your going back into this castle, with these Ghost-like figures, and Discovering the mystery of what happened to the kingdom.

I don't really have all the details. I know the vehicles are going to spin and they're similar to Mystic Manor.

12.-13 Version of the classic ballroom. The guests will be on a "hill" looking down, so the effects will still work.

16. Ghost Dragon
17. Spell gets cast, sending you out of danger
18. Unloading
19. Exit Queue
20. Vehicle Maintenance

I'm new to the forums, but I just had a bit of a brain wave (I'll develop the concept/make it viable later). Since the Mansion is traditionally in a different land in every park, I'd put SDL's Mansion in Toy Story Land: it could be based around Sid's toys and house! The ride would be a bit more action packed- like Mystic Manor. It could feature Woody and Buzz helping guests escape from Sid and Scud, with small jump scares provided by the mutant toys. It would culminate with being chased by Scud through the house into the backyard via video screen, ending up in Andy's backyard.
