It's Saturday now, day two of D23 Expo. It has been widely rumored since 2015 that a "Marvel Land" is coming to DCA. The Miceage Updates of the last couple years have been all over this, but our pal @GiveMeTheMusic has also been very helpful with this developing story. Also, the TDA brain trust tried to make this go "viral" by staging a bizarre faux hazmat cleanup at a media party, and then leaving an ugly manhole cover in a planter after Mission: BREAKOUT! opened last month. Because nothing says viral like a trying-too-hard corporate marketing campaign. Supposedly, allegedly, perhaps, they will announce a Marvel Land or some sort of Marvel expansion for DCA during Saturday afternoon's Parks Presentation. Will it be a full land? Will it be a dark ride in the Bugs 3D theater space? Will it be a high tech Avengers coaster? Will TDA let the Horticulture Department take that ugly manhole cover out of the planter? Or some combination of those things? This can be the thread to discuss this issue. If we get an official name other than "Marvel Land" on Saturday we can fix the thread title. (I'm rooting for "Marvel: California's Edge") But for now, this is the place for Saturday's discussion of whatever Marvel is doing at DCA next. A reminder that the Parks Presentation begins at 3:00 PM on Saturday, is scheduled to last 90 minutes, and will likely be Periscoped and live Tweeted and whatever else the kids are doing nowadays by a gazillion fans.
