After studying the satellite images this morning for damages at WDW, I've discovered major damage at the MK. From what I see on these images, the attraction formerly known as 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea has been totally torn up and ripped apart! The site looks like a complete garbage dump. The winds, as it appears, even blew the water of the lagoon out!

(sorry I couldn't resist this post! LOL)

Laughing my a$$ off at that one. There is nothing left but a mud puddle. All the track is gone and so is most of the dock. Ride building also shows some destruction. Got a few pics b4 a castmember tried to coerce me into deleting them.

The very first thing that i thought of when i heard that Charlie was going torwards WDW is "i wonder if the the wand will fly off SE and end up in the WS lagoon" that would look good there.

I dont know how true this is but... i heard that a certain person namely Donald Duck was told to make sure Sorcerer Mickey's hat was secured firmly to the ground what with the hurricance coming. However Donald either didnt do it or did a poor job and the hat blew away and he is trying to find it before Mickey hears about it or gets to MGM. Donald is struggling for help and is appealing for help in the search. This is why there are fewer characters in the park and why AK was closed. Someone here said it was closed due to staff shortages...seems that was true as they were all helping Donald.

Hope you find it Donald!!!

What a relief its just the water being blown out of 20000 Leagues under the Sea and that it now looks like a rubbish dump ....

I thought you were goin to say that there was an attempt and building the worlds largest birthday cake at the Contemporary and that the hurricane came along and blew the cake onto the castle as happened in 1996, it wasnt that pretty i didnt think, and it took Disney a whole year to get all the icing and candles off.

Just heard that when the hurricane blew thru the magic kingdom the winds were closed in so to speak behind the castle around the carousel and where dumbo and began to circle round and round in that area at a very high speed. The result being that it began to move the arms on the dumbo ride round and round really fast and the strength blew some of the dumbos away...Dumbo really could fly. I saw on another board that a CM said this truly magical disney moment -- proof dumbo really could fly was caught by park CCTV and that it mite be enhanced and put on to the next vactation planning materals.

Not too good news about the cars...mayb they mite get newer faster cars to replace the ones that flew away to never land
