Trip Report Ridin' Solo **COMPLETE**

Hello, fellow pixie dust addicts! Welcome to my five night, six day solo trip report! You can check out the pre-trip report here, if you're so inclined. I'll get right to it!

Intro
So, for those of you who don't know, I'm Tracy. I'm a 25-year-old prior-military, current student, Disneyaholic.

11084662544_856ebc7ba4.jpg

This trip was a little bit of a surprise. My husband, Coda, and I had planned a last-minute getaway for the two of us over fall break, but because he was called away for work last-minute, I rescheduled and planned to head down by myself for the first time ever. I was on a tight budget and planned to eat a combination of counter-service meals and stuff I brought with me. I was fully on-board with the Fastpass+ system and had all of my reservations in place before I left, including a FP+ for Be Our Guest. Without further ado, I present the first day of my trip.

Day One
The day started at about 6am. I got up and got ready, had breakfast, and rushed out the door, letting my dad carry my bags. ;) We arrived at the airport around 8am. I had done online check-in with Southwest and left my bags with the men on the curb, got through security fairly quickly, and went to wait for boarding. It was my first time flying Southwest, so the boarding process was a little foreign to me. I ended up sitting in between two very nice ladies. Unfortunately, one of them wanted to talk the whole time. At risk of seeming rude, I pulled out my laptop once we'd taken off and watched an episode and a half of Glee (don't judge me). We landed right on time, at about 11:10am and, since I was using DME, I headed straight to the Disney Magic Express desk. I was ushered into a line and waited for my bus to load.

11084601615_4605673734.jpg

I got onto the bus after a very short wait. It stopped first at Art of Animation and Pop Century before arriving at Jambo House about 45 minutes later. I checked in without a hitch and was excited to find that my room was ready!

11084683916_3f4db54558_z.jpg

The room was very nice and pretty similar to Kidani Village, though it did seem somewhat smaller and the bathroom was set up differently. The sink was out in the open rather than behind a closed door, which I guess is no big deal. Just something i noticed. I also had a savannah view room, though I had only paid for a standard view. A pleasant surprise! Speaking of surprises...

11084789663_d8b409e209.jpg

This was waiting for me when I got there! My husband somehow worked this out and I was met with a glow with the show hat and an early anniversary card! Our actual anniversary is December 21st, but he's at work and won't be home til February. After unpacking my carry-on, I went to explore the lobby on the way out.

11079054795_c57501df1f.jpg
11079048825_b1b465ee9c.jpg

Then I got on the bus to Animal Kingdom. On my way in, I noticed something I'd never seen before: a remnant of what should have been.

11079135154_3740c523fa_z.jpg

I used my magic band to get into the park. It went really smoothly with no hiccups. Not any quicker than cards, but alright, I guess. My first stop was to get a paper FP for Dinosaur since all my FP+ were made for MK later in the evening. I used my AP to get it and it wasn't a problem, though the CM gave me a funny look... Next I went to Expedition Everest. The single rider line claimed a 30 minute wait, but I was in within 10 minutes. As always, lots of fun. Not much to say about that! On my way to It's Tough To Be a Bug, I saw some street performers interacting with the kids.

11079012495_cb6e9dccb8_z.jpg

The show was cute, which is pretty standard. I did notice that Flik's eyes were in sync this time and the stingers in the seats worked, which is more than I could say in March. By that time it was about 2:45 and I had only been in the park for about two hours, but I was already ready to leave. I knew I would be back in a couple days. One thing I realized about solo trips - it doesn't take nearly as long to do what you want to do. I decided to give away my Dino FP since I didn't want to hang around to wait on it and I had a FP+ for it on a later day. I went back to my room and got my first glimpse of animals outside my room.

11079032556_5f6e942dde_z.jpg

No giraffes or zebras, but cool anyway. I quickly noticed that my bags hadn't been delivered to my room. It was 3:30 and my flight had gotten in at 11:10. I called down to the desk at 3:45 and was told my bag would be right up because it had just come in. I sat around and waited until about 4:15 and then called back. They put me on hold for several minutes and finally came back to tell me that my bag would be right up. It finally got there about 10 minutes later. I've heard some things about how DME isn't super reliable, but I was still a little annoyed by the delay since I was waiting on my bag to take a shower. Once I had that taken care of, there was a knock at the door and a woman delivered a pile of gifts from Coda.

11084669656_1469471a38_z.jpg

Included was a Belle doll, Simba plush, princess autograph book, and a picture frame. I was a little confused, but happily accepted them. More on that later... So, I went ahead with my plan to hit Magic Kingdom for the night. First, however, I stopped at the Mara for dinner.

11084777093_d3ff1246b0.jpg

I had the African stew, which is amazing, for those who haven't had it. After satisfying the rumbling in my tummy, I got on the MK bus. I decided to take the railroad over to Frontierland since I'd never ridden it. I had a FP+ for Haunted Mansion and jumped right into the line. Again, the magic band worked perfectly and I had no trouble lining it up.
11079034714_4b6e6a19c4_z.jpg

Still one of my favorite rides! It's still competing with SSE for absolute favorite. After the HM, I wanted to check out the new Jingle Cruise overlay.

11079001736_dd411141c4.jpg

I have to say, I wasn't impressed. The "overlay" consisted of the boat names seen above and some awkward Christmas jokes. Our skipper was not funny. In fact, she was one of those people that just makes other people shift uncomfortably. They should probably forego the holiday overlay from now on. Next I jumped on Pirates of the Caribbean with barely any wait and a whole row to myself. After PotC, I had a Peter Pan FP+ to use. Another one of my favorites! I wish I could get clear photos of the London scene... Then was the Little Mermaid. We got stopped at this point:

11078997054_4f7137f7ac_z.jpg

I'm not sure that I've ever been on that ride without it stopping for a minute or two. My final FP+ of the evening was The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. I just LOVE the rain scene. I did get annoyed because someone took a flash photo and I was able to see how they do the raindrop effect. I hate those people. Before I left, I wanted to start using the autograph book Coda had sent, so I got in line for Cinderella at the new Princess Fairytale Hall. The wait wasn't long and I got to meet Cinderella and Aurora.

11084572795_842f6e93aa.jpg

11084657956_d4cac72658.jpg

I had intentions of heading out, but I got pulled in by IaSW. I had to look for the cobwebs that were mentioned in another thread. And... I found them.

11078895446_94956d23eb_z.jpg

I wish no one had told me, because I was totally grossed out and seriously ducking when we went under the bridge. I also noticed - wait for it - light bulbs that were blown.

11078933224_c311f888fc_z.jpg

Oh well, still a cute ride, even with the song. :p My very last stop of the evening was the Rapunzel bathrooms.

11078985953_b2c92c8200_z.jpg

I really do wish they'd done more with this, though it's still really nice to look at. I stopped to watch Wishes on the way down Main Street USA, but didn't want to be caught up in the crowd in front of the castle. I got back on the bus without much of a wait, since I was already near the exit when the finale went off, and got back to my room by 11pm. I watched some SVU and hit the sack!

Next up: Hidden Mickey fail and Quiche

Day Four

Day four started pretty late. I didn't have to be anywhere until late that night, so I got up at 10 and ate my in-room breakfast of oatmeal. My first stop for the day was Downtown Disney, so I hopped on the bus and got there in pretty good time. I headed over to the Christmas store to kill time and to get our yearly ornament! After a lot of texting back and forth, this is the one Coda and I decided on:

nQF5ZOZ.jpg
IxNXB3d.jpg

Happy anniversary to us!! Of course, they weren't personalized then. I had to pick them up later, but this is the finished product. Our anniversary is 4 days before Christmas, so it works. Since my only goal for DTD was an ornament, my next stop was Epcot. I got on the bus to the Swan and had a fairly uneventful boat ride over. I walked through the boardwalk this time on the way to the International Gateway. I looked at my lines app and saw that Test Track single rider was at about 25 minutes, so that's where I went. I was way too excited that I got to be a timekeeper!

11126897536_e218cc9ef4.jpg

The line was boring since my phone signal was crap, but I got to eavesdrop on the people around me. After about a 30 minute wait, we got to the car-making stations (or whatever). The screens were all down for some reason, so I didn't get to make a car. I got to ride next to a man who I didn't know and like the lady on Splash Mountain, he didn't speak English. Oh well. I did quite enjoy Test Track 2.0. I realize that not a lot changed, but I did like the updates. I loved the Tron look, but I'm still not sure if that's what they were going for.

After the ride, I took another look at the lines app and all the waits were insane! So, I decided to take the boat over to Hollywood Studios early instead of hanging around. Anyway, that's where my FP+ for the day were! I got to the boats just as they were arriving, which was pretty convenient. When we got to the Boardwalk stop, a loud noise came from the back of the boat and someone screamed! Everyone turned around and looked to where the noise came from. I'm still not sure what happened because I was sitting in the front, but a ton of people crowded to the back of the boat and I'm assuming someone fell. Eventually everyone got settled and we made it to DHS with everyone in one piece.

By the time we got there, I was about to starve to death, so I looked at my Disney dining app and decided on ABC Commissary. I ordered the couscous quinoa and arugula salad with chicken and a no sugar added strawberry parfait as dessert.

11127044683_a1634c37df_z.jpg

As you can see, it was delicious!

11126927444_1420b27222_z.jpg

I was as surprised as you probably are! ABC Commissary? Good? Well, this time it was. I will most definitely be going again on my next trip!

After lunch/dinner, I went over to see the Muppets! I never really loved the show (I did love Muppet Babies), but this ride has always cracked me up! It was adorable as it always is. Not much more to say about that! By this time I had awhile to kill before my Toy Story Midway Mania FP+, so I wandered around for awhile window shopping. I looked at some books in Writer's Stop, among other things. On the way to TSMM I stopped at One Man's Dream and looked, once again, for Hidden Mickeys. That is definitely a good time killer if you're ever solo! I took my time looking around and was able to read several of the plaques, which I've never really had time to do.

Then it was time for TSMM! I love walking through the queue and watching the kids' reactions! I was sent into a different line than everyone else by a CM, which really worked out because I basically just walked on and ended up riding alone, which I'm cool with, and shooting the little kid in the car across from me repeatedly. My score wasn't as embarrassing as usual...

11126850415_76be434b19_z.jpg

Ehh, what can I say? I used up all my mad shooting skills in the military. ;) I was getting pretty close to my Fantasmic FP+ by this time and had been texting @jlsHouston to figure out where she'd be. I warned her that it was freezing outside and the wind was only making it worse! She asked me if I'd like her to bring a blanket since she was staying close by. I said "sure" and we agreed to meet up soon! I went over to the Osborne Lights, where she said she'd be going, to wait for her. Well, she wasn't there, so I started to head towards Fantasmic. By the time I got halfway there, Janice was texting me to let me know she was heading to Osborne Lights! Haha! At that point I just stopped and waited for her to find me, which she did after a few minutes. We went to the Fantasmic entrance and used our magic bands to get in. We talked through the line and finally made it to the seating area. We sat towards the top and had a GREAT view of the stage! She pulled a blanket out of her backpack for me - it was one of the ones you can buy for a reduced fee with a purchase at Disney stores. Then she told me to keep it! OMG I had been loving that blanket and had been staring at it for days, but promised Coda I wouldn't spend a bunch of money. Thank you so much for the blanket!!!

Finally, it was time for the show to start. Janice had never seen it and I was so excited for her! As you know, Fantasmic cannot really be put into words, so here are some pictures!

11126603245_a970a18c55_z.jpg

Janice said she loved it!! But I'll let her tell you what she thought! After the show, I thanked her again for the awesome blanket and said a final goodbye. We parted ways and I went to use my last FP+ for the day at Tower of Terror, my favorite DHS ride. It was a fairly short wait with the FP+ (still no issues there, by the way) and here's the outcome:

11126627346_7547a8bee9_z.jpg

I'm in between the two guys on the second row, left side. I'm not sure why it's so blurry. That's kind of weird... Anyway, I was ready to get back to the hotel, so I hopped a bus and got back to my room where I found another surprise.

12110559323_8c27f1d380_z.jpg

Um... yeah, that's a lot of junk food for one person! Well, I'm pretty sure it's not for one person. Here's why:

11126859235_fe4627b84e_z.jpg

See that number in the corner? I was in room 5571. Yep, that's why I'm pretty sure it was delivered to the wrong room. Oh, and there was no card from Coda delivered to my room. I called the front desk to let them know they delivered something to the wrong room and didn't send me a card. They told me to keep the food and finally brought me the card from Coda. I ate a few pieces of my accidental treat, but couldn't eat too much (no sugar and all), before calling it a night.

I love your Christmas/anniversary ornament! Our anniversary is Dec 8 and our first out-of-town trip as a couple was a fabulously fun trip to Disney World, so I'm making a note to get an ornament for my hubby and I this year.

Great trip report!

Well, I don't usually do well with people I don't know (or people I do know! lol!), but you're right about the boards being an icebreaker. I hope we're able to get together again in the future!

I agree, solo trips are way better than I thought! I did find myself being bored once or twice, but overall it was a nice change of pace. I love The Land also! Makes me think I would have enjoyed the other classics... Which makes me sad that I never got to see them. :(

Haha! Sorry! I just started a new semester and things have been insane! Excuses, excuses...

I've never been to Disneyland Paris, but I couldn't imagine doing that on my own! Disney World has become very familiar, so I don't have any problems being alone there.

Oh Disneyland Paris is tiny compared to WDW and is very easy to navigate. maybe we should be tour guides for each other? lol

We can compare it after October..... :)

I liked Disneyland Paris but its lacks a certain atmosphere and i feel like the american parks are superior from what i read of everyone's TR's. Especially when it comes to cast members. Some are nice and some are just GRUMPY. and if your after a character M&G then be prepared to stand your ground against foreign parents with kids. I do love Phantom Manor though and BTM and Dreams is amazing to watch!! You will have a blast!

I totally agree with you about the atmosphere. DLP as awhole misses the right atmosphere. Off course all the ppl do there best and don't know what the future will bring. There are different rumours buzzing about the future of DLP. Rumours are the WD will buy back all the shares around the world. They want a change for the parks. Ratatouille is the last investment and there will be a investment stop. On the other hand there are rumours about Star Tours 3D or a total Star Wars land. We'll see. After October we can compare it for ourselves.

I agree with you for PM, BTM and Disney Dreams. Dreams is the best closing show for all the parks in the world, although the DLP castle is the only castle Dreams can work really good, since the castle is built on a hill.

We absolutely will have a blast in October. Counting down and really can't wait :)

Awww I want to see Fantasmic again! I'm so thankful we decided to do this together because every trip I swear I am going do the line thing and catch the show and every visit passes and I don't. It was a really good thing we chose this show to meet up at because it forced me to get into a line (that wasn't so bad with the company!) and I loved it, so amazing. Thank you!!

Thanks!

Another great update from a fun day!

Thank you! :)

Great trip report!

You should definitely start getting ornaments! We have one from every year 2010 and up! We actually have 2 for 2012!

Oh Disneyland Paris is tiny compared to WDW and is very easy to navigate. maybe we should be tour guides for each other? lol

Sounds like a great plan to me! ;)

You have a wonderful smile and your character photos are really great. Thank you for sharing your visit with us!

Thank you and you're welcome!

Ooh! Ooh! I love it when they make me timekeeper! Makes me feel all important and part of running WDW!

* Goes get a life :oops: *

Haha! At least it's not just me...

How can you tell apart a casual fan from the diehard?

The diehard subconsciously forms her plate, drink and desert into a Hidden Mickey!

I didn't even notice that, but you're right. I've impressed myself.

Enjoying your report!

Awesome! :D

Day Five

I was up at 9am and this was the view outside my window:

11144773435_f7fa4fdc71_z.jpg

I decided to call the front desk. I'm not sure if you remember, but I was supposed to be getting a card delivered every day. They had already screwed up the gift deliveries. Anyway, I called and they said they had lost my last card! They.Lost.It. Before I got off the phone, they said they were going to talk to some people and get back to me.

So I hopped a bus to Downtown Disney. The first thing I did was take my ornaments from the day before for personalization (but you've already seen those). So once I got through that 30 minute line, I went to stand in another line. Jim Shore was starting signing at 1pm and I got in line at 11:40. There were already probably 15 people in front of me. Some had been there since 7! Finally the line started moving and I got to meet Jim Shore not long after 1 o'clock!

11144795186_0d691882d0_z.jpg

11144763046_6a70e72c7f_z.jpg

He was such a sweet guy! He really took his time, asked me all about myself and why I picked the particular piece I brought. It was a fantastic experience! But once I was done, my reason for being at DTD was over and I wanted to head back to my room and drop off my huge Belle figurine. When I got back to my room, this was my view:

11144784736_f7df0c18d1_z.jpg

When I got back I noticed there was a message on the phone. It was from the manager with his private line. I called him back and he told me he was really sorry about everything that had happened. He also asked what my favorite character was and said he was going to find a way to fix it. After hanging around and watching some SVU, I headed off to Epcot. By this time it was getting dark out. My first stop was Mouse Gears because I love that store. But every time I go in, I cannot help but be irritated that they have such cool shirts for guys and none for us women! Seriously, how hard would it be to make this in a women's cut?

11144782296_f0cbe1c56c_z.jpg

Come on, Disney! Next, I backtracked to Spaceship Earth because it's Spaceship Earth. Do I need anymore reason than that? As always, epic. Then it was Test Track. This time I had a FP+ and actually got to build my car! I think I came in 3rd. Overall a cute feature, but probably not worth the money it cost to have it put in. After Test Track I headed over to the Imagination Institute!

11144807334_dc11c2f3e7_z.jpg

That was when I heard a CM announce that Captain EO was playing the last show of the night. I knew I had to get a show in on this trip just in case it really does close down. I'm going to be so sad when that happens. :( It was hilarious watching people freak out when the cables hit them! I love that show even though most people hate it! After EO I had a FP+ to Soarin! I basically just walked on. Still no problems with FP+ by the way. Everything ran smoothly for me! Just like last time, the film was dirty. There were some noticeable popping sounds that I hadn't noticed before. Other than that it was a smooth ride. I love those oranges!!

By this point I was getting pretty hungry. I had eaten a protein bar in my hotel room and that had completely disappeared. Of course, I went to Sunshine Seasons!

11144740745_fe31b93338_z.jpg

No sugar free desserts here, unfortunately. While I was eating, my phone rang. It was the manager from Jambo House (I had given him my number earlier)! Apparently he couldn't find anything Belle-related that was awesome enough, because he informed me that I had a $200 credit on my account! Um... excuse me??? :jawdrop: Can you say, "free money"? I was so excited! I knew Jim Shore would be signing again the next morning in Epcot and there was another piece I had my eye on. I texted Coda and waited on his response. In the meantime, I met Mickey!!!

11144766936_62bfd5c38c_z.jpg

Hooray! One more autograph down! On my way out of the Character Spot, I pulled out my Disney Dining App and looked up the Electric Umbrella. I thought I remembered them having something sugar free. And they did!

11144906963_21a691a8ee_z.jpg

Not fresh, but still not bad. I know you think it looks gross. :p I ate half and saved the rest for later. Then I got a text from Coda saying, "That's awesome, go for it!" So I did!! I went over to the art store and bought this beauty!
510nToAN9sL.jpg

I love it! And so does Coda! Yes, the lamps do light up. :D Finally, my night was drawing to a close. I did stop for one last ride on Spaceship Earth, however! Love, love, LOVE that ride! After my last ride of the night, I hopped a bus back to AKL and called it a night.

Day Six

The last day of my trip was insanely hectic, which is really unfortunate, considering it was supposed to be a relaxing solo trip... I was up at 7:30 and out the door shortly after with all my luggage in hand. I stopped at the front desk and had all of my bags put in the back to be held until I left later that afternoon. I did keep one bag with me, however: my Jim Shore Haunted Mansion figurine! Jim Shore would be signing at 11am, so by 9:30 I was at Epcot. Based on the line the day before, I had planned to be really early, just in case! Still, I had a little time to kill and so I got in a quick ride on Living With the Land! I'm not sure if I'm just really lame, but I love all the "boring" rides.

I was in line for Jim Shore at 9:45 am, where the rope is on the Mexico side. And there were only about five other people there... Two sisters, a woman on a scooter, and a married couple. We ended up having a really nice conversation and I really hit it off with the two sisters that were there. The married couple ended up deciding that the husband should go to the Art of Disney store in Future World to get the new Christmas Mickey with the globe, so he ran there and back within about a half hour. It had been decided by the rest of the people who were there (who had all done this before) that there were probably a lot more people on the France side and that they were probably a little closer to the American Adventure. The sisters planned for the younger of the two to make a mad dash and hold a place in line for her sister and me. And that's what happened when the rope was lowered at 11am on the dot. When we caught up to her, there were people rushing in from France, but we jumped in line with her sister (go ahead and hate me). It wasn't long before we got to the front where Jim Shore was signing behind a desk. This time he was personalizing! So I got my HM piece "To Tracy & Coda." So exciting!!

12914691824_1996ae1580_z.jpg

So we said goodbye and, with that, I was on my way to the Magic Kingdom for the last time of the year.

Originally, the girl who would be giving me a ride to the station was supposed to be meeting me for the day at MK, but she ended up having to work. So I had the day to myself, yet again, which I'm okay with. When I arrived, I was pointed to the Chamber of Commerce and found out that they'll hold bags for you for free! So I didn't have to get a locker. I dropped off my merchandise and headed over to (where else) the Haunted Mansion, where I had a FP+. It was quick and painless and was obviously super fun! Then it was time for lunch at Be Our Guest, but this time I didn't have a fastpass. The line was about a 40 minute wait, but totally worth it, in my opinion.

12915236463_1ca3c4c845_z.jpg

Lots of happy looking people:

12915230293_1c0a512112_z.jpg

I had the quiche and leek and potato soup again, cause it's awesome, but no dessert this go round. I just didn't love the no sugar added pastry. My food was delivered quickly and was delicious!

12915538754_265104014a_z.jpg

I had time to kill before my next FP+ so I decided to go for an autograph. Gaston happened to be coming out very shortly, so I got in line. While I was waiting, I noticed this tiny door:

12915108655_b66179b19a_z.jpg

Does anyone know what it is??

When he came out I was only second to meet him and it was such a blast! I walked up, he grabbed me, and said, "So how does it feel to be in love with me?" Hahaha! Getting ready to take a picture, he said, "say muscles," which I did. He proceeded to shove his bicep in my face and let me know I could go ahead and feel it. It was hilarious! Gaston is my new favorite M&G character (aside from Beast, of course)!

Next was my FP+ to meet Ariel. It was a quick wait and a pretty uneventful meeting. She did tell me she liked my "finger scales" which I thought was funny!

I'm not really sure what's going on with my face other than I was in the middle of talking when they took the ONLY photo I got with my phone. I did notice something about Ariel... She wasn't really Ariel material, in my opinion. I mean, she didn't really look like her at all. Also, she had, well, some skin problems. Please, PLEASE don't hate me! But really, she did. I mean, I don't have perfect skin by ANY means, but I'm not portraying a Disney princess. I was honestly a little surprised by it. Please, please don't burn me at the stake! I just always assumed they had really high standards based on the gorgeous princesses throughout the parks. Maybe she was having an allergic reaction? Anyway, once I had her autograph, I went to wander around the new circus area since I hadn't really had a chance on my last trip. I looked through the shops and thought it was aesthetically pleasing, but otherwise kind of a waste of space...

On my way to Space Mountain I stopped to enquire about Push, who should have been coming out according to the schedule. As it turned out, the schedule was apparently wrong and he wouldn't be making another appearance for the day. :( I still haven't met Push! Oh well. Instead, I went to Space, used my Magic Band, and got in line. After a short wait, I was on the ride. And good news! No headache this time! Usually Space Mountain and Rock N Roller Coaster give me a terrible headache!

Am I the only one that does this?

My last stop of the day was to meet Tiana - the final princess for my book! On the way, I stopped to watch the parade. I didn't really have a choice since people had stopped and ropes were blocking the way! I got to wave to Belle and Beast (and I like to imagine they waved back ;)) before I went to see Tiana.

While I was in line waiting for her, I listened to a couple of young girls from Scotland talk amongst themselves. So much cuteness!!! Finally, I met Tiana, got my last autograph, and headed to the front of the park.

I picked up my bag from the Chamber of Commerce and hopped the bus back to Animal Kingdom Lodge.

When I got there, they let me into the storage area for luggage. I stood back there going through my bag for probably 20 minutes trying to make everything fit and make sure everything was packaged how I wanted it for the trip home. Then my ride texted me! I met her on a Facebook group for Disney brides and she had offered to give me a lift to the Amtrak station. That's pixie dust for you! I met her and we introduced ourselves before I showed her around the Jambo House lobby. She had never stayed at AKL before, but really wanted to!

The drive to the Amtrak station was pretty short. Once we got there, she told me to text her once I was on the train and when I made it home. I thanked her again for helping me out (and saving me $50 on a taxi!) and we said goodbye. I checked in and sat in the shady looking Amtrak station. The only outlet I could find was in a creepy back room where the Pepsi machine was, so I sat back there so my phone could charge. When it was time to board the train, I stood outside in the grass by the train tracks. There's certainly nothing glamourous about travelling by train! Around 7pm, the train pulled out. Here's the view from my seat:

I tried to make conversation with the girl sitting next to me, but she didn't seem very interested. I watched a couple episodes of Glee before trying to fall asleep, though it wasn't very comfortable. Around 4:30am, I woke up and the girl next to me was gone. I thought it was weird, but decided she might have gone to get some food or something. I took the opportunity to lay across both seats, figuring she could wake me up when she came back. Strangely, she never did, so I slept til we pulled in the next morning around 8am.

My mom and her friend picked me up and took me to breakfast. After I'd had something to eat, I drove to school and toughed out the rest of the day! But I had a Disney magic hangover to get me through!

So this ends my Disney solo trip 2013. Yep, it's ending three months late, but here it is!! Thanks for reading! :D
