I came across this site which has a list of plans and drawings for a coaster designed under a U.S patent by Universal Creative. It's design was orginally for a space theme however the theme could be converted to anything else, basically this design has since then been converted to work with Revenge of the Mummy this is most likely the design that will be used for this new thrillride take a look below.

And as I said on those boards, those aren't Mummy blueprints, those are Apollo 13 blueprints which never was built. This isn't anything new.

Yes that is true they were for Apollo 13 however the patent was filed I beleive in April of 2001 meaning they probably did that because they were about to put the design in development and therefore used it to build the Mummy all they had to do was find Premeir Rides to build it for them.

I mentioned this in another thread, but I'll say it again. Ah, I'm too lazy to write it again so I'll just copy and paste what I said before

"I'm pretty positive this will NOT be Mummy's ride system. I must admit I didn't read everything and just did a quick overglance, but what I got out of the article is that the ride vehicles would be on a coaster track and lined up in a train-type set-up. However, each "car" would be separate and hold one passenger. After loading through the front of the "car" the passenger would be completely enclosed inside the ride vehicle like a "space capsule" and then the ride vehicle would move along a coaster track, complete with inversions and drops.

Mummy's press releases indicate that we will see and feel fire across the roof and animatronics along the ride track. Thus, it won't be this "enclosed" ride vehicle that rides on a coaster track. In fact, a Universal concept pic showed what appears to be a modified traditional coaster train."

I originally saw it in the Orlando Sentinel, but I found it again at screamscape. Go to http://www.screamscape.com/html/usf_-_mummy_0.html for the image.

From this you can see that the ride vehicles are definetely not enclosed and appear to be a traditional coaster train with themed individual cars with "high backs". This is just pure speculation on my part and I really don't know for sure if it will just be a traditional coaster train. It is just what I think it looks like from that pic :)
