What are the lightning tubes to the right?
I am actually not sure and am curious myself. I kind of figured that they were just chasing Christmas Tree lights that had a cover over them that made it appear more Star Trekky
They are tubes that have lights in them...
Anyone got a pic?
I am guessing these things on the wall, right?
You do realize your in a "Time Traveling Vehicle" while in the attraction..The "tubes of light" are helping you the guest make your time travel trip more efficiant.....It's called theming..Or to be more helpful..
Ah, I wasn't thinking themes. I guess the same goes for the "blast-off" tube in Space Mountain giving the rider the feel of blasting off into space
Well, I am no engineer, but I found this beauty.
A lot of good read, but I haven't found out anything in regards to the technological magic behind the lights and their effects...
(Also, I just skimmed through the web page, so I could have very well missed the information about the lights...)
Nothing in there about the loading area lights, but it's a good read, and it includes streamed versions of the Cronkite, Irons and Dench narrations... real memory-kickers!
I asked my engineer hubby about the lights and his reply was also chasing Christmas Tree lights. So, there's that.
