Question about dining plan

My family has the dining plan; my DH and I and two children 7 and 9y/o. What do they give you? Do they give you a card with points or individual tickets for dinners? Can we use the kids cards as adult meals and just buy the kids children meals?

They are coded on your Key to the World card along your room key and park tickets. The meals are all pooled together, so when you check in, you will have 4*# of nights credits for table service, counter service, and snacks.

They are not broken between adult and kid, just kids must order off the kid menu if one is available.

question

If we are using a counter service meal and there are kids meals do we have to order a kids meal there or is it only at sit down meals that we must order from kids menu?????

From the official website: "children ages 3-9 must choose from the children's menu if available; dessert not available at breakfast". This is for both table service and counter service meals.
