my daughter is applying as a cultural representative for China, and she has her interview in April. However, the form she received today said that she would only be payed $5 per hour, get 30 hours of work a week ($150 per week) but would have to pay $150 per week for rent. At this rate, she wouldn't earn any money. She wouldn't even be able to afford food. But the application page said that CRs earn $8-9 per hour and work at least 40 hours per week. It doesn't say anything about having to pay rent.
Can other CRs please chime in and let me know what is going on here. How much are you actually paid each month and how much do you pay in rent? Does Disney provide meals for employees?
I really don't want her to have to pass on this opportunity, but no one should be working for free.
