Pop Century Bedding and chances of King bed

Planning a trip in early September and curious about Pop bedding. Is it softer bedding like one would find at a Holiday Inn express or more along the line of a la Quinta/Super 8?

We're not expecting Westin bedding or up, but don't really want the course bedding of lower end places. Any review would be helpful especially from those who have spent time in a variety of hotel classes. The pictures of the beds at Pop from Disney compared with those at Coronado seem significantly different in quality, but the camera-work could also be the culprit.

Also, any tips for getting a king-size bed at Pop? What's the likelihood that we would get one if we do not need accessibility accommodations? Is asking for to floor, king-bed, facing the lake to much?

The bedding is what you would expect for a value resort. It's no down comforter but I think it's comfortable. If you are thinking king-size bed, call and add it to your reservation but it's not a guarantee. There just aren't that many. Out of the 2600+ rooms at Pop only 81 are regular king-sized rooms. (115 are handicapped accessible, if you do get one of these, there is no tub, only a shower) I think they still don't assign rooms until 4 or 5 days before you arrive so you may not find out until check-in if you got one. And you probably know you can only have two people in a room to get king-size.

Requesting a floor room should be no problem. We always ask for the upper levels so we don't hear everyone passing our room and have always gotten it. Facing the lake are standard rooms and most quiet. These are the 50s, 60s, 70s buildings that have portions that face that way and 60s is closest to the bridge to AoA. Hope this helps!

We were lucky enough to get a king size bed at Pop on our anniversary trip. It was a handicap room in the fifties facing the lake on the 3rd floor. If a handicap room is available, I'm sure they will try to meet your request.

For our February trip we requested King Bed, Third floor, 70's section, lake view. A lot of requests but we were kid free celebrating our anniversary so why not. We got a King Bed, 70's section, 2nd floor, facing the wooded kids play area. 2/4 was not bad.
