Has anyone done the pirates and pals fireworks voyage? I'm always looking for something a little different to do and was wondering what people thought about this experience?

Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage

We went for New Years Eve and enjoyed it so much that am thinking about doing it again for our next trip also. You get to meet Captain Hook and Mr Smee while enjoying some snacks and then load up on one of 2 boats to go out to watch the fireworks. The pirate captain "Patch" of your boat plays games for prizes while you are sailing out and back and then when you dock you are joined by Peter Pan.

We love the Pirates and Pals Fireworks cruise! We have done this cruise twice and both times were wonderful experiences. Such a great way to watch the electric water parade and the fireworks! The kids just said they would like to do it again this summer

We did this cruise on my sons actual birthday; when I called the CM they asked if we were celebrating anything and I told them my son's 9th birthday and that the date of the cruise was his actual Birth date.
What a great end to a magical day; we had a pirate makeover earlier in the day at MK and then went to the cruise. After snacks they break the group into two separate boat groups - unknowing to us - they called my son to the front of the group and made him First Mate and had the group sing Happy Birthday - he got to lead the two groups down to the boat dock - in his words - BEST DAY EVER!!!!
Our group was so much fun and the Pirate that was in our boat was the best; he had us go around the group saying what we were thankful for and what was magical during our trip - it was beyond just a cruise - it was an experience that we'll never forget. Leave it to Disney to go beyond what you can imagine.

Hello All!
There is more information about the Pirates & Pals voyages on the disney world website at this link: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/tours-and-experiences/pirates-and-pals-fireworks-voyage/
The voyages leave from the Contemporary Resort and start 1 hour and 15 minutes prior to the fireworks time until April 1st. On April 1st, the show will start 1 hour and 30 minutes prior to Magic Kingdom fireworks.
In May, the fireworks are scheduled for 10pm, so the Pirates & Pals experience starts at 8:30pm the entire month.
ALSO - it looks like the voyage is getting popular, so they are also operating Tuesday nights March - June....hooray for more days!
Call 407-WDW-PLAY or the main Disney reservation line to make your reservations
