PhotoPass for ride photos?

We're going in August. We skipped last year, so a number of things have changed. FP+ was in testing last time we went.

We stay off-site. We will not have MagicBands and will not have MemoryMaker - just the regular PhotoPass cards the photographers hand out for free.

Can we add ride photos to the PhotoPass cards by giving the photo number to a cast member?

Can we see our PhotoPass pictures on a phone (either through MDE or another app or website)?

At the rides you can scan either the PhotoPass card or your admission tickets (presuming that you've linked your tickets to your MDE account). Then you'll be able to look at the pics on the Disney PhotoPass website.

What about the rides that don't have the scanners? Are the RFID's in the physical media long range now?

No. Photos on Seven Dwarfs (the only ride currently without scanners) are via MagicBand only. (Though I've heard you can go into a PhotoPass location and they can look you up to link it)

Thank you so much! So there are scanners now under each of the monitors that show the pictures, and they can read either tickets or PhotoPass cards? Do the PhotoPass cards have RFIDs now?

Also... If we miss our picture, is it possible to get someone to hunt it up for us? (We're a handicapped party, and it takes a few minutes to get organized after we get off a ride.)

Yes, and yes. Rides with photo counters can look it up, or you can go to the park's central PhotoPass location.

We had to look up our photo for the first time a few weeks ago. Space Mountain shut down while we were on it. Once they got the ride reset and they escorted us back to the front of the line for a re-ride, the photo from our first ride was long gone. A quick visit to the counter in the exit gift shop and the CM there was able to scroll through them and find us.

We were there last week and we had over 500 photos on our memory maker. Granted many of the photos were my son posing on Buzz. My son was able to max out both guns on Buzz

You might want to consider just spending the 13 dollars on the band and then you don't need to worry about it. The pics just showed up on the photopass without scanning them so you can just take your time. You can only see the pics on the website, no access from the app.

I thought you needed MemoryMaker for the automatic linking. Does it work with the free PhotoPass as well?

Yes. Disney will send you a link to your photos a few days after arriving home from your vacation. You can purchase them individually (or entirely) at that point. They will remain available for 30-45 days (can't remember for sure.)

But you must be wearing a MagicBand.

Memory Maker allows you to download them all for free since you purchased the product.

They should still be in your MDE account even if you don't purchase memory maker to allow you to buy them individually.

I have not seen a 'requirement' of purchase for photo's to show up. It's just if they will cost you per download or free with MM purchase.

School me with a link if otherwise. :D

The window is currently 45 days.
