  1. Entrance area and the Shrek/Lucy building are annexed into Hollywood. Despicable Me and HRRR will be in separate areas

  3. Shrek and Lucy bulldozed for a three-story Omnimover titled "Universal's Hollywood Dream". Located inside the Universal City Theater, Jimmy Fallon and Tina Fey host a journey through Universal's film and TV library. Capacity - 3,000/hr. ($115 million)
  4. Horror Make-Up Show gets some updates ($15 million)
  5. T2 3D revamped to be "Terminator: The Final Reckoning", with a new film directed by James Cameron, updated pre-show, better facade and more interactivity. Capacity - 1,500/show. 4,500/hr. ($50 million)
  6. Gardens of Allah transformed into a historical museum. Props from Lucy - A Tribute, Shrek 4D, Jaws, etc. would be featured here. Capacity - 350 to 400/hr. ($5 million)
  7. E.T. Adventure gets massive upgrade with a new queue through Elliot's suburb/house, culminating in the iconic forest. The actual ride gets new spaceship vehicles for those who don't meet the 34" height requirement or who want a calmer experience, full-fledged AAs, new fog/wind effects, updated projections and a less creepy finale. Capacity increase - 100 to 150/hr. ($65 million)
Total cost for Hollywood revamp: $260 million

  • Universal's Horror Make-Up Show (comedic stage show) - no height requirement

Super Silly Fun Land (takes over Blue Man Group area and HRRR)
  1. Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem gets facade enhancements that recreate Gru's neighborhood ($30 million)
  2. Blue Man Group building bulldozed. In its place, three new attractions take over: a tea cups attraction, a Minions spinoff dark ride and a play area ($130 million)
  3. Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit rethemed to the coaster from DM1. Queue is rethemed to resemble a seaside carnival. Themed elements/tunnels included throughout ride. ($50 million)
  4. Hollywood Plaza Music Stage rethemed to SSFL. It's still used for concerts for special events, but also contains a Minions dance party show ($30 million)
Total cost: $240 million ($500 million)

Attractions:

  • Despicable Me - Minion Mayhem (40" height requirement, none for stationary seats)
  • Dr. Nefario's Silly Swirlies (tea cups. no height requirement - 500/hr)
  • House of Overkill (dark ride. no height requirement - 1,800/hr)
  • The Splash Zone (water play area. no height requirement - 700/hr)
  • Super Silly Fun Coaster (coaster. 51" height requirement - 1,600/hr)
New York
  1. Twister is replaced with "Wicked: Catch the Wind" - a Soarin'-esque dual theater simulator with a Broadway marquee and pre-show. It enhances the view of New York by covering up the side of Twister. (2,000/hr) - $130 million
  2. Revenge of the Mummy gets some nice upgrades ($55 million)
  3. New Preview Center showcases what Universal has in the works next ($5 million)
  4. Disaster and Beetlejuice are removed/annexed into New York
  5. Fast and Furious: Maximum Overdrive takes over San Francisco. Utilizing a mixture of launched coaster and EMV dark ride, this is the ultimate racing experience ($225 million)
Total cost: $415 million ($915 million)

  • Wicked: Catch the Wind (Soarin' esque simulator) - 42" height requirement
  • Blues Brothers Live on Stage - no height requirement
  • Revenge of the Mummy - 48" height requirement

  • Fast and Furious: Maximum Overdrive (EMV/coaster hybrid) - 52" height requirement (2,500/hr)

  3. mini-London Eye along waterfront - 500/hr. $20 million
  4. Doctor Who KUKA Arm meets drop tower E-ticket - 2,300/hr. $175 million.
Cost - $285 million ($1.25 billion)

  • Sherlock Holmes' Greatest Case (no height requirement)
  • The London Eye (no height requirement)
  • Doctor Who - Rise of the Paradox (46" height requirement)
