Osceola Interchange/Road Permits

The construction traffic is going to have to come in on the existing entrance road, so the only question is whether they will share it with guest traffic or not.
the one graphic looks more like it will be separate

which would make sense from a legality standpoint, and if theres a backup of dump trucks, cement mixers, etc down the road

since with the scope of work they have to work during the day or the projects will take 10 years

Yeah, looking at some other plans it does appear that both the construction and guest traffic enters on the same ramp, but then splits before it gets to the overpass.

Orlando Parks News is reporting that there will be reduced lanes at the park entrances over the next few weeks to support construction in those areas.

http://www.orlandoparksnews.com/2016/06/latest-disneys-hollywood-studios.html

FYI, this began back on the 7th or 8th of June (can't recall because the tropical storm pushed back the start of the lane changes). But the 2 lanes that are furthest to the left have been closed off starting almost immediately after the "Hollywood Studios" entrance sign/overpass and going until just past the toll plaza. Not entirely sure what they're doing.

That makes sense since they are going to need to do work along there for the construction entrance road. They may also be opening up a temporary construction entrance into the LMA area like they did from World Drive in the TSL area.

so theyve started work on TSL? with its own construction entrance?

it thought this entrance was going to be shared among both construction projects

Some one recently posted this picture in the TSL thread take from World Drive. This opens into the corner of the park back by Cat Canyon. As you can see there is also a crane on site and a permit was filed for Toy Story Land that goes beyond site prep, so I am pretty confident that TSL will be underway soon if not already.

Yes, a new construction entrance is being built, but that is going to take a little time since they need to build a bridge over the canal and do some reconfiguring of the entrance road.

FYI, work is moving fairly fast. If you're coming from Osceola and heading toward Studios, they have now reconfigured the ramp so you just go straight into the main auto plaza instead of having to go north on World Drive and come in the secondary entrance on Buena Vista Drive

We took the new ramp into DHS last weekend. Basically the overpass/ramp that went over the studios marquee splits before the slight incline and feeds right into the DHS gates.

Haven't been in that way for years.

Was in the area today and noted that they were installing the silt screens over by the ESPN entrance so that area should be seeing some tree clearing soon. Further west there's an area that had been previously cleared that has a Huge 100x100 area or possibly more that's been leveled, graveled and has shiny metal bits sticking out of it on about a 5ft grid. I wish I had gotten a better look at it because it was really quite strange.
