Original Disneyland Prospectus/Concept Note

Corey Doctorow (boingboing, author) has obtained a copy of the original Disneyland Prospectus (aka Concept Note). A pretty interesting read for anyone interested in Disney Parks history, and as far as the internet can tell, this has not been released before.

That's neat. It shows how much of the image of Disney has changed! I like the idea of the Holiday park, they need to add that into DHS, i think it would fit great! One section of a park resided for holidays....yep I like it! Must also say that I cracked up at the Peter Pan part. They sound like they want to kill you! "Throw Ping Pong balls at you.... Have a
cap'n jack stab at you, yeeesh!

It's very interesting to compare this to an earlier version; you can see things evolve, change completely, or get dropped. Here's an article about the sales pitch that Roy took to New York for his meeting with the bankers in 1953 (at the time of the Lost Weekend drawing).
