    Volcano Adventures - Queue
    [IMG]
    As guests walk into the molten caverns of the interior of a massive super volcano, they are greeted by the research team known as the VAST - Volcanic Assimilation of Scientific Tectonics - whose job it is to explore ancient volcanoes around the world and report back with their findings for energy efficient tools and a better understanding of our planet's internal heating system.

    Guests walk through a makeshift laboratory set up in the depths of the supervolcano as one of the lead scientists, Dr. Vernon Jules, explains your trek down to the core of the earth, and before/after he is explaining your mission, guests are free to walk around the laboratory, interacting with several devices and tools that the scientists use on their journeys (similar to but more interactive than the Yeti Museum on Expedition Everest)

    As guests get closer to the end of the queue, the EMV vehicles are boarded on a rocky surface with molten rivers on the other side of it, and as you depart the laboratory, there is a final piece of information that the VAST scientists have found which is a large image of an Aztec god that seems to guard the volcano, giving you an uneasy feeling as you head out on your "Volcano Adventures"

    ------------------------

    Bonus
    With Mythica and Exploratorium as the two main lands, a thought popped into WDI's head to have all the main land first letters eventually spell out MUSEUM - so with that the next land will be called Utopia, which will be a Discoveryland style futuristic land transitioning the old steampunk style into a newage steampunk.

    The Critiques

    WDW Management has had some time to look over the queue proposals and has decided to provide some initial feedback before the selections are made:

    @Disney Dad 3000 - Tesla's Flight Queue

    This is such a great and unique proposal and is exactly the type of thing we were looking for. Getting to interact with cast members as you wait in line is such a great idea, and can give guests something to look forward to while they wait. We also like the idea of getting to walk through a life size blimp cab, which will be a first time experience we imagine for most of the folks partaking in the attraction.

    Our only concern, taken partly from you picture, is that the "blimp hanger" portion of the queue may be a little boring outside of the cast interaction. It almost seems like it would just be a big room with metal back-and-forth queue fences (granted, it would be themed).

    @kmbmw777 - Molten Labratories (Queue for Volcano Adventure)

    This is a great idea and uses some existing technology to achieve it. We also LOVE the concept art used here as it really conveys the look you were going for. We also like the incorporation of some educational and non-fiction exhibits in the waiting area, as well as the more exciting and fun exhibits.

    We're not sure if you could have even done this in 3 sentences while still getting your point across, but we wish there was more description about the general "feel" of the waiting area. All we have to go on is the concept picture and the general "laboratory" term, but we want to know more about the color scheme, the use of materials, etc to really convey what it feels like to be there.

    @D Hindley - Niagra Falls River Expedition Queue

    Wow. This is such a great concept. Today people spend hours just observing and walking around Niagara Falls, and you've taken that idea and incorporated it directly into the queue (granted the falls in the park would be a smaller scale version)! Walking through caves, wooden docks, and onto a boat, all within views of the falls, it seems like it would tie together very well and really build anticipation for the ride at hand.

    Only have two small concerns. This is a GREAT idea, but I'm not sure anything super new or creative is happening (although we love what you have). And the only other thing is that it can be kind of boring to wait in a queue in a cave, so the beginning of the queue may need a little bit of tweaking.

    @FigmentPigments - Niagra Falls River Expedition Queue

    This is a nice change of pace and really brings a nature appreciation vibe to the attraction. Having a permanent butterfly garden, along with interactive exhibits within that space is a great idea. We also like having AA's in the queues as it really gives guests something to distract them from waiting in line, and having multiple stories to tell within a light-up cave is fascinating.

    Our concern on this one is mainly about the cave and whether it will hold everyone's attention. I'm assuming there will be a lot of back and forth queuing in the cave so that you can see and hear the AA, but how long will guests be in that cave before they start to get a little bored?

    @spacemt354 - Volcano Adventures Queue

    Let us start out by saying that your choice of concept art really adds to your description of the queue. We also love the fact that you've incorporated some backstory into your queue description, which really helps ground the proposal gives the queue a sense of purpose.

    Our only critique is that unfortunately, one of your ideas was already used in a previous proposal, which was also for Volcano Adventures (the walk around lab). But outside of that, this was a great submission.

    The Selections

    WDW Management is proud to announce its selections for the designers of the new queues for Disney's Portals of Adventure's attractions!

    The Bonus Winner

    @FigmentPigments

    We imagine that Imagination would be moved from EPCOT and converted into this full land in Portals of Adventure with a lot of the details you mentioned in your description. We love this idea, and it also opens up a lot of creative space in the future.

    The Bronze Medal

    [IMG]

    @Disney Dad 3000 - Tesla's Flight Queue

    A unique proposal that had certain spectacular ideas but maybe not the perfect whole package.

    The Sliver Medal

    [IMG]

    @D Hindley - Niagara Falls River Expedition Queue

    We loved the incorporation of the Falls across the entire queue, and the sense of anticipation that that would bring to our guests.

    The Gold Medal

    [IMG]

    @spacemt354 - Volcano Adventures Queue

    Including a backstory to the queue (and the ride) really set this one apart and would be a fun way to get guests more involved instead of just standing in line in the queue.

    The Standings

    This was a great challenge as was probably the toughest one to judge, as there wasn't a single bad idea out there this time. I even had a very difficult time selecting which bonus response was the best, as each of those were great ideas too!

    With no further delay, we present the standings:

    @D Hindley - 13
    @kmbmw777 - 11
    @FigmentPigments - 10
    @spacemt354 - 9
    @Magic Feather - 6
    @gonzoWDW - 4
    @Disney Dad 3000 - 3
    @Pionmycake - 2
    @StevenU
    @goofyyukyukyuk17

    I hope everyone is ready for the next challenge!

    The Journey So Far...

    This space will be used to update our running description of Disney's Portals of Adventure, and is entirely optional FYI information.

    -Disney's Portals of Adventure-

    [IMG]

    Disney Parks in the past have had double uses: the Magic Kingdom was an amusement park doubling as a theme park; EPCOT is a World's Fair doubling as a theme park; Hollywood Studios is a studio lot doubling as a theme park; Animal Kingdom is a zoo doubling as a theme park. Disney's fifth gate also fits this criteria: Disney's Portals of Adventure is a museum doubling as a theme park. When a guests walk through the park, they see works that would be traditionally represented in a museum such as art, nature, or scientific description, before arriving in one of many completely immersive worlds, and an amazing boutique resort!

    The Lands

    The Disney University (DU) Quad
    This land represents the entrance of the park (much like Main Street in the Magic Kingdom). The large walking lane will be luscious green turf and surrounding the lane will be multiple university-themed buildings (possible examples: Music Building, Engineering Building, Bus Depot).

    The Mystic Gallery
    This is the "hub" of Disney's Portals of Adventure and can be found at the rear of the DU Quad. From the outside it looks like a standard University museum building, except at the entrance to the land is Henry Mystic's enchanted music box, which brings all the gallery's artworks to vivid life and is able to interact with guests who wield magical (RFID chip) paintbrushes a-la Epic Mickey

    In addition to being a hub for the park, this land hosts the fine art collections of S.E.A.'s famed curator Lord Henry Mystic, displayed in a lushly manicured sculpture garden and in a converted spacious Beaux-Artes railway station (akin to Paris's Musee d'Orsay). Golden frames in this land are portals to the wondrous worlds of famous paintings from throughout history, rendered in life-size brushwork styles including romanticism or pointillism or cubism. Stepping "through" the portals leads to various other lands and attractions.

    Attraction - Goghing Through the Cosmos: A giant mural covering one wall within the Mystic Gallery depicts Vincent Van Gogh's famous "Starry Night", altered slightly to contain a golden portal on the bottom its left side, leading to the forest which surrounds the town shown in the painting. Guests venture through the golden frame, into the nighttime forest (housed within a show building), following an overgrown dirt trail through moss covered trees and an eerie fog, until they reach the archaeological dig site where one of Mystic's most prized possessions, the Nebra Sky Disc, was found. Here, guests board a Star Tours style Motion simulator where a mischievous tour guide convinces guests to help him retrieve what he believes to be the back half of the famous disk. However, as soon as this second mysterious disc is moved, a bright light emanates from the ground and guests are sucked through a portal into a journey across the cosmos, where they take in stunning galactic vistas, explore foreign worlds, and race to make it back home before the sun rises, the Starry Night ends, and the portal closes.

    Mythica
    This is a steampunk inspired land full of gears and buzzing machinery. It is located below The Mystic Gallery and contributes to the parks overarching story that Mythica is a mysterious and mystical city that powers the portals to adventure located in The Mystic Gallery.

    Attraction - Tesla's Flight: Before boarding their blimp, guests will enter the show building that resembles a working hangar filled with blimp parts, crates, interactive levers for machinery and other elements like "steam", etc. In lieu of standard cast uniforms, cast members will be dressed in a myriad of garb ranging from blimp captain to machinists, and will periodically be roaming about the working hangar, inspecting, moving items, and talking to the passengers. The final leg of the queue will take guests on a walk through of a life size blimp cab to see the inner workings and layout before boarding their ride vehicle. Guests board blimps (which use technology similar to that of Peter Pan's flight) that hold 24 people and one guide. The ride primarily showcases breathtaking scenes of Mythica, while our guide describes scenes as "the simple oh market square," "the coliseum royale," or "the golden capital."

    The Exploratorium
    This land focuses on the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Guests will be able to trek down into caves to view wondrous animals and plants while traveling through the underground passages to reach various attractions themed towards the seven natural wonders (the Aurora Borealis, the Harbor of Rio de Janeiro, the Grand Canyon, the Great Barrier Reef, Mount Everest, Paricutin, Victoria Falls).

    Attraction - Volcano Adventures: From the Exploratorium's caverns, guests emerge into the magma-encrusted ruins of a Mexican village at the base of the volcanic wonder Paricutin. As guests walk into the molten caverns of the interior of the massive super volcano, they are greeted by the research team known as the VAST - Volcanic Assimilation of Scientific Tectonics - whose job it is to explore ancient volcanoes around the world and report back with their findings for energy efficient tools and a better understanding of our planet's internal heating system. Guests walk through a makeshift laboratory set up in the depths of the super-volcano as one of the lead scientists, Dr. Vernon Jules, explains your trek down to the core of the earth, and before/after he is explaining your mission, guests are free to walk around the laboratory, interacting with several devices and tools that the scientists use on their journeys (similar to but more interactive than the Yeti Museum on Expedition Everest). As guests get closer to the end of the queue, the EMV vehicles are boarded on a rocky surface with molten rivers on the other side of it, and as you depart the laboratory, there is a final piece of information that the VAST scientists have found which is a large image of an Aztec god that seems to guard the volcano, giving you an uneasy feeling as you head out on your "Volcano Adventures". Aboard scientific research Jeeps (EMV vehicles), guests descend into the Earth while another volcano swiftly emerges, just as Paricutin did in 1943. In a tremendous finale, Aztec fire gods launch guests (via elevator platform) up the erupting volcano's main shaft, for a thrill ride that combines the best of Indiana Jones Adventure, Journey to the Center of the Earth, and Tower of Terror!

    Attraction - Niagara Falls River Expedition: The queue starts in a cave, as with every Exploratorium attraction, which leads to a beautiful and lush fern grotto carved out by erosion behind the pounding falls. From a rocky opening, wooden catwalks lead outside over spillways to a ferry boat, The Misty Maiden, moored at the base of the mighty cataracts. Decks provide visitors with stupendous vistas of the waterfalls, the rafts, even an ominous shipwreck, plus many museum-quality interactive exhibits with information on Niagara's natural and human history. On-board the attraction, guests journey through the Canadian and North American Wilderness teeming with wildlife as they trek down the "8th" Wonder of the World... Niagara Falls. On this high capacity (3,200 guests per hour) raft attraction, you will see several animatronics of animals that inhabit the natural forests of North America, such as bears, foxes, and more, before plummeting down the falls. The drop is 65 feet at a 42 degree angle, reaching speeds of 40 mph; guests must be at least 40 inches tall to ride.

    Dreamscape
    Much of Disney's Portals of Adventure is dedicated to real world adventures, but Dreamscape takes guests on an adventure of the mind where Dreamfinder is not just a ride but an environment dedicated to imagination. It's a land where Captain Eo can invite guests to become members of his Corp dedicated to the gift of music and also where Dream Seekers are offered the chance to live and create their own adventurers.

    Attraction - Journey Into Imagination: This attraction was originally located in EPCOT but has now been moved into this land. It has not, as of yet, been modified or refurbished from its current track layout or theme.

    The Resort

    Skylandia
    The floating island fortress of Skylandia
    (presently moored to the Earth) is the sister city to Mythica, supplier of Tesla's Flight's airborne marvels, and a wondrous boutique resort experience which immerses guests in a comforting world of steampunk fantasy. Guests enjoy staterooms appointed with Cote D'Azur luxury, swim in an infinite pool overlooking Portals of Adventure, shop in 19th century arcades, and dine in a posh airship whose window screens depict an enchanting flight.

    Dirigibles (simulator trams like Hogwarts Express) ferry resort guests to Mythica's secret entrance, where guests' Skylandia Magic Bands grant them exclusive "living theater" interactions with Mythica's citizens (cast member performers), front row spectacular seating, and access to Mythica's hidden chambers and mysteries.

    Prompt 6

    The IP Machine

    [IMG]

    -The Prologue-

    Construction on WDW's new 5th gate, Disney's Portals of Adventure, has begun. The final list of lands for the park are:

    The Disney University (DU) Quad - The entrance area to the park themed after a university quad

    The Mystic Gallery - The hub of the park, themed as a S.E.A.'s famed curator Lord Henry Mystic's museum which includes paintings/portals to other lands in the park

    Mythica - A land themed after a steampunk city which powers the portals in The Mystic Gallery

    The Exploratorium - An underground land which has attractions themed after the 7 natural wonders of the world (and the 8th, Niagara Falls)

    Dreamscape - A land themed after a guests imagination and their mind

    -Scenario-

    Some people love it, some people hate it. But one thing is for sure, when you build an attraction that is directly tied to Disney IP, the popularity of that attraction goes through the roof. WDW Management knows this and thinks it is about time to explore what some of the possibilities might be that are available to them.

    [IMG]

    -Challenge-

    Name and describe a new attraction for Disney's Portals of Adventure. Your new attraction MUST include characters and/or themeing from a theatrically released Disney animated movie.

    -Bonus-

    .As mentioned in "The Journey So Far...", Journey Into Imagination will be coming to Dreamscape! WDW Management sees this as a perfect opportunity to update the attraction to help tie this new land together. In one sentence, describe your proposal for updating this attraction once it moves to Portals of Adventure.

    -Rules-

    You may use between 1 and 3 sentences and up to 1 picture (plus one extra sentence for the bonus if you choose to participate). The deadline is Sunday (5/7) at midnight.

    -Tips-

    Keep in mind that the challenge mentions "attractions", so if you are sick of creating rides you are allowed to create a show or some other type of entertainment exhibit if you want.

    K.I.S.S - Keep it simple, silly. Try not to over complicate or over think things too much. It's a simple, casual competition. Focus on the big picture. Don't miss the forest for the trees. All that good stuff.

    -Judging Criteria-

    Is it creative?
    Is it (generally) realistic?
    Does it fit thematically/visually?

    Good Luck everyone! Have fun! Go create!?

    INSIDE OUT
    AN EMOTIONAL TREK
    Deep within the Dreamscape dwells the world of the mind, as seen in Disney/Pixar's Inside Out, where guests aboard a Train of Thought venture forth to visit their own Personality Island, Dream Productions, Abstract Thought, Long-Term Memory, and more.

    Each car on the Train of Thought is a separate trackless vehicle which guests themselves control by choosing between Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust at any moment using a simple dashboard dial and accompanying video screen.

    Vehicles' movements and music reflect their Emotions, while ride scenery changes appropriately via projections, lighting, even different pre-programmed animatronic actions, making Inside Out: An Emotional Trek and endlessly rerideable, interactive joyride to enjoy in any mood.

    (BONUS) Journey Into Imagination gets guests' brains firing on a boat ride down the Streams of Consciousness, where guests help Dreamfinder and Pigment fish for free-flowing ideas under the glowing synapses, ideas which they can then combine together after the ride in the interactive Imagination Station.

    Robotic Lectures with Baymax
    [IMG]

    Guests enter the Disney University Engineering Department building, where the National Robotics Fair is being held, which is utilized as an interactive queue is used to allow guests to interact different REAL science exhibits.

    After meandering through this queue, guests are invited to a room with guest speaker Hiro Hamada from the San Fransokyo Institute of technology is presenting his work on the robot Baymax.

    Hiro gives a brief description of Baymax, before he allows guests to have conversations with the Robot in an experience like "Turtle Talk with crush" which is a proven successful system.

    (BONUS)In this new Journey to Imagination, the Dreamfinder is revealed to be a S.E.A. member and he takes guests through the Dreamscape, facing many of children's worst fears, before meeting Figment at the end.

    Dr. Strange Adventures
    -Open Your Eye-
    [IMG]
    Dr. Strange, the smash hit Disney/Marvel film in 2016, explores the depths of inter-dimensional travel through the mind and magic, all of which will be on display in this cutting edge hybrid simulator attraction for the Dreamscape land in Disney's Portals of Adventure starting in Dr. Strange's home, the Sanctum, which is the queue for this adventure, doubling as an interactive museum for his ancient artifacts (such as the cloak of Levitation and the time stone) assimilating with the museum theme of the park as a whole.

    Before boarding, guests are taught how to control magic on the attraction from Wong and Dr. Strange, then after, guests climb into their own cloaks of levitation, which are safety harnesses that allow guests to have their own individual experiences, similar yet different from (being more comfortable than) the leaked Iron Man attraction blueprints for Universal. Once on board, guests fly off on a big IMAX screen in front of them and soar with Dr. Strange, Mordo, and the Ancient One through the Mirror Dimension, the Dark Dimension, and several other trippy visual dimensions as you try to stop Dormammu from destroying the multi-verse, as motion sensors allow you to wave your hands and point forward to manipulate the events on screen through "magic"

    Bonus
    The updates to Journey into Imagination will involve the Marvel Comics series which explores the backstory and young Dreamfinder/Figment adventures, which tie in not only with the Marvel attraction in the same land, but also the Steampunk transition into other lands such as Mythica

    Going Turbo

    This new attraction in the Disney Quad transports it's students and VIPs directly to Game Central Station where they will bored a tram that takes them into multiple games similar to the end credits of Wreck It Ralph, and with three separate experiences including randomly generated mini game experiences like Pac-Man, Street Fighter or Sonic, guests will keep coming back to try each combination.
    [IMG]
    The three car tram will split up upon entering the portals with each car entering into a different game such as Hero's Duty, Sugar Rush, or Wreck -It Ralph where guests will travel through those games using either laser gun to shoot at Cy-Bugs, using a steering wheel to race against Valleope, or using a joystick and buttons to dodge falling bricks, and at the end, the tram cars will reattach once more.

    Once reattached, the tram heads towards the boss level, King Candy in full Cy-Bug former, where guests must work together to face down this colossal threat and earn enough points to see him defeated such as using their laser guns, using the horn on the steering wheel to fire multi-colored candy, or using the joystick and buttons to fire bricks.

    Bonus: The original ride was such a work of art that not too much would change from that besides updated AAs and a section devoted not letting your imagination run away with you courtesy of Figment's exhuberence with the culmination of the ride ending in the grand finale song before guests enter into the Dreamport to let their imaginations loose.

    I didn't see the specification for animated Disney film but nevertheless...

    Treasure Planet
    [IMG]
    Coming to Mythica will be a Treasure Planet attraction inspired by the Academy Award nominated 2002 film, Treasure Planet, which will seamlessly blend in with not only the steampunk architecture, but also the themes of adventure that permeate the park as a whole. While the film itself wasn't a box office success, one can point to other Disney attractions like Dinosaur, where films that weren't popular can still be great attractions -- and this E-ticket adventure will be no different, following along Jim Hawkins on a mission to find Treasure Planet.

    Using the Shanghai Pirates technology, you'll travel in boats through the skies and the seas, along with John Silver, B.E.N. and other novel characters you'll meet on your journey, with the objective of making this a 10-minute Pirates of the Caribbean style sailing adventure for the whole family.

    Bonus (same as before)
    The updates to Journey into Imagination will involve the Marvel Comics series which explores the backstory and young Dreamfinder/Figment adventures, which tie in with the Steampunk atmospheric transition into Mythica

    I wasn't going to ding you, but since you've created a second one I will focus on that one. Also had a small family sickness pop up this morning, so I'm not going to have time for the reviews until tomorrow. If anyone wants to submit that hasn't yet that gives an extra 12 hours or so!

    The Reviews

    WDW Management has had some time to look over the new ride proposals and has decided to provide some initial feedback before the selections are made:

    @D Hindley - An Emotional Trek (Inside Out) [Dreamscape]

    We love the ideas at work in this proposal. Having the ride react differently to your choices is a great idea, and as you mentioned it would really add to the re-ridability. Also putting this in Dreamscape was a great choice, and even reminds us of some of the smaller interactive exhibits once available in the Imagination Lab. No big critique on this one, it is a great idea.

    @kmbmw777 - Robotic Lectures with Baymax (Big Hero 6) [DU Quad]

    A great idea that we wish could have been expanded upon if you weren't confined to 3 sentences! Would have loved to know more about the interactive exhibits and some examples of how Baymax would interact. But that just goes to show what a great idea this is.

    @spacemt354 - Treasure Planet (Treasure Planet) [Mythica]

    Another example of a proposal that we wish we could have seen more details for. What were some of the scenes you get to fly through, how do the water and air transfers work, etc? We also love the idea of a longer ride that is entertaining but also a guest-eater. And using the Pirates formula with a new theme is always good in our books.

    @FigmentPigments - Going Turbo (Wreck It Ralph) [DU Quad]

    This is a great idea and it fits in wonderfully with the DU Quad. Although we are slightly confused at how everything works between the mini games and then the movie-games and then the end boss. But regardless, all of that sounds fun and anything that changes each time you ride is always a plus in our book. You've taken the 'game' ride concept a step further and we love it.

    @D Hindley

    If we were in the Club 32 thread then @FigmentPigments would have taken this, but since part of this competition is creativity, we had to give it to the most creative choice. We love the idea of the boat ride, and also the possible interactivity having something on the ride affect an exhibit afterward is great.

    A fun attraction idea that just works. Using existing technology and blending in with the land's theme, we want to ride this!

    @FigmentPigments - Going Turbo (Wreck It Ralph) [DU Quad]

    A great new spin on the game-ride. We like the re-ridability on this one and can't wait to give it a try ourselves.

    The Standings

    Another great round! Even though we had fewer entries, each and every attraction was a stand-out and I had trouble finding any fault with them. We are going to go ahead and add each of these to the official park regardless of whether your proposal placed or not, that's how good they were.

    Here are our standings:

    @D Hindley - 17
    @FigmentPigments - 14
    @kmbmw777 - 12
    @spacemt354 - 11
    @Magic Feather - 6
    @gonzoWDW - 4
    @Disney Dad 3000 - 3
    @Pionmycake - 2

    The Journey So Far...

    This space will be used to update our running (word-vomit) description of Disney's Portals of Adventure, and is entirely optional FYI information.

    -The Lands-

    The Disney University (DU) Quad
    This land represents the entrance of the park (much like Main Street in the Magic Kingdom). The large walking lane will be luscious green turf and surrounding the lane will be multiple university-themed buildings (possible examples: Music Building, Engineering Building, Bus Depot).

    Attraction - Robotic Lectures with Baymax (based on Big Hero 6): Guests enter the Disney University Engineering Department building, where the National Robotics Fair is being held, which is utilized as an interactive queue to allow guests to interact different REAL science exhibits.

    Attraction - Going Turbo: This new attraction in the Disney Quad transports it's students and VIPs directly to Game Central Station where they will bored a tram that takes them into multiple games similar to the end credits of Wreck It Ralph, and with three separate experiences including randomly generated mini game experiences like Pac-Man, Street Fighter or Sonic, guests will keep coming back to try each combination.

    Attraction - Treasure Planet: Coming to Mythica will be a Treasure Planet attraction inspired by the Academy Award nominated 2002 film, Treasure Planet, which will seamlessly blend in with not only the steampunk architecture, but also the themes of adventure that permeate the park as a whole.

    Attraction - Journey Into Imagination: This newly refurbished attraction gets guests' brains firing on a boat ride down the Streams of Consciousness, where guests help Dreamfinder and Pigment fish for free-flowing ideas under the glowing synapses, ideas which they can then combine together after the ride in the interactive Imagination Station.

    Attraction - An Emotional Trek: Deep within the Dreamscape dwells the world of the mind, as seen in Disney/Pixar's Inside Out, where guests aboard a Train of Thought venture forth to visit their own Personality Island, Dream Productions, Abstract Thought, Long-Term Memory, and more. Each car on the Train of Thought is a separate trackless vehicle which guests themselves control by choosing between Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust at any moment using a simple dashboard dial and accompanying video screen. Vehicles' movements and music reflect their Emotions, while ride scenery changes appropriately via projections, lighting, even different pre-programmed animatronic actions, making Inside Out: An Emotional Trek and endlessly re-rideable, interactive joyride to enjoy in any mood.

    -The Resort-

    Skylandia
    The floating island fortress of Skylandia (presently moored to the Earth) is the sister city to Mythica, supplier of Tesla's Flight's airborne marvels, and a wondrous boutique resort experience which immerses guests in a comforting world of steampunk fantasy. Guests enjoy staterooms appointed with Cote D'Azur luxury, swim in an infinite pool overlooking Portals of Adventure, shop in 19th century arcades, and dine in a posh airship whose window screens depict an enchanting flight.

    Dirigibles (simulator trams like Hogwarts Express) ferry resort guests to Mythica's secret entrance, where guests' Skylandia Magic Bands grant them exclusive "living theater" interactions with Mythica's citizens (cast member performers), front row spectacular seating, and access to Mythica's hidden chambers and mysteries.

    Prompt 7

    The Path to the Heart is Through Food

    -Scenario-

    Food is universal. It does not matter where you are from or what language you speak, good food is good food. But WDW's new park is special, and it deserves something special.

    [IMG]

    -Challenge-

    Name and describe a new highly themed or interactive restaurant for Disney's Portals of Adventure. With only three sentences a restaurant with just great food is not going to cut it. We want you to describe what will make your restaurant memorable.

    Also, if you submitted a proposal for the last prompt (Disney IP attraction), you MAY NOT build your restaurant in the land in which your proposal was built. Restaurants can also not be built in Skylandia for this prompt.

    -Bonus-

    Let's take a short break from Disney's Portals of Adventure. WDW Leadership has decided to keep Disney Spring's Disney Quest around, but in addition to some major refurbishment they need a new headlining attraction! In one sentence, name and describe the new headlining attraction for Disney Quest.

    -Rules-

    You may use between 1 and 3 sentences and up to 1 picture (plus one extra sentence for the bonus if you choose to participate). The deadline is Monday (5/15) at midnight.

    Follow the rules mentioned in the Challenge, and also try to remember to mention the land that you build your restaurant in.

    -Tips-

    K.I.S.S - Keep it simple, silly. Try not to over complicate or over think things too much. It's a simple, casual competition. Focus on the big picture. Don't miss the forest for the trees. All that good stuff.

    -Judging Criteria-

    Is it creative?
    Is it (generally) realistic?
    Does it fit thematically/visually?

    Good Luck everyone! Have fun! Go create!?

    STILL LIFE WITH FEAST

    Among the enchanted paintings of the Mystic Gallery is a wing dedicated to famous culinary artworks, now magically brought to delicious life and ready to eat!

    "Still Life With Feast" is a counter service restaurant where the counters are picture frames, or portals, and the servers and kitchen staff within are the artworks' citizens who serve up painterly banquets spanning from the Renaissance (e.g. herb-roasted pheasant with spiced harvest vegetables) to 20th century pop (Campbells Soup a-la Warhol).

    Guests dine amidst animated paintings, and before the Canvas Stage, which presents a continual rotation of tableaux vivant - live performers who recreate famed artworks at full scale, itself an art form spanning centuries.

    (BONUS) DisneyQuest's all-new headliner, The Sovereign Arcade, sends guests to the world of Guardians of the Galaxy (Vol. 2), where they remotely pilot Ayesha's golden warships against evil forces such as the Kree or the Chitauri, thus saving both the galaxy and - more importantly - the East Coast Tower of Terror!

    The Diamond Express
    [IMG]

    The Diamond Express, located in the Exploratium, seats guests inside of a train, in which windows show views of various natural wonders (all of the seven wonders plus many more like the Smokey Mountains and Muir Woods).

    In order for maximum efficiency, there are three trains and meals take around an hour, cast members then get 30 minutes to prepare the starship for the next wave of guests, so that new guests can be shuffled in every hour and thirty minutes per train.

    Guests are encouraged not to leave their train during their stay, as there will be everything one needs on board (including bathrooms, changing stations, etc.), and this restaurant will be reservations only and will have a prefix menu served with food from all around Earth to showcase our diversity.

    (BONUS)
    The top floor of DisneyQuest becomes "The Star Wars Experience" featuring a huge laser tag arena themed to an Imperial Base and flight simulators.
