You are driving through the main gate at WDW and you are staying at the animal kingdom lodge. When you get pretty close you see a huge structure in the distance, It is a humongous sphere. So you decide to check it out. When you walk in, The main Lobby is massive, you look up and see the entire solar system rotating above your head. There is a spiral balcony that lines the inside of the sphere. You hear a cast member welcome you to Disney's Starchaser, Space Exploration, Star Spectrom, etc. Resort. So you cancel your reservations at DAKL and book them in The Space themed resort. When you get your room the cast member at the desk tells you to take pod #3 to your room. The pod is a sortof monorail type transport that shoots out a hole and flies (on a track ofcourse) to your building, there are four buildings surrounding the sphere (planet) and each one has a pod that goes back to the planet and to other buildings. Each building is themed to different space theme. Martians, Solar system, deep space, and space ship. In Martians you take an elevator to your floor while aliens are buzzing around the top of the building. Solar system has nine floors each themed to a different planet and a huge mural of the sun is painted on the ground of the lobby, and replicas of each planet is at the same altitude of its floor. In deep space you find yourself in a huge room that has visible stars all around, even on the floor. You CAN see, and a space shuttle type elevator will take you to your room. In the space ship it is like you are in a very futuristic space ship, u have a blue glowing, floating elevator and there are holograms of messages from other space ships and stuff. If you need a place to eat you can take a pod back to the planet and take trip underground to the Famous Constellation Cafe where you can see a rotating sky with all the constellations on them one by one lines would be drawn to connect the dots of the constellation and a voice would tell about each one of them.

A few suggestions though:

1)Stick with one overall theme for the guest rooms, probably the space ship theme, but perhaps make it more of a space station perhaps that could have four different sections, that could each alter slightly, changing the themes that drastically can really take away from the "wholeness" of the hotel. You could make the guest room area seem like a City in Space.

2) I really am not sure why you would need to travel underground to get to a restaurant unless there are some structural reasons for this or they can be tied in I would say get rid of it, business wise it might be hard to economically compensate for an underground transit extravagance.

3) this may need to be an all suites resort, because of the high level of emersion you seem to be implying with the theming of the resort, there is nothing wrong with this, in fact Disney has been debating whether or not to build something like this, and nearly have. Just something to consider, if you had not already other wise

4) I am not completely sure if all of what you are describing could are would really need to be built all in one large sphere, it might be more practical to have several spheres, a main large one, four smaller ones, and a covered courtyard in between the smaller ones, all 5 spheres connected by tubes in which your "pods" could run.
