One of the more interesting ideas for the Magic Kingdom but never built was Fire Mountain. You can look up the brief history on it here: http://web.archive.org/web/20110704...andfiles.com/tnf/disneyworld/firemountain.php.
However, I was pondering doing it finally. In this case, however, it will not be called Fire Mountain, nor will it be a flying roller coaster. It will be a conventional roller coaster instead, and it will have a new name, Mount Pele, named after the goddess of fire and volcanoes, one of the many Tiki gods and goddesses at Disneyland's Tiki Room...
PELE: I am Pele, goddess of fire and volcanoes. Some say I torment poor Ngendi, the earth balancer, for when my violent temper rises, the earth trembles on its foundation!
NGENDI: Legends say I'm balancing the earth. But sad to say, I'm just hanging on.
PELE: I'm the one who's really sad, for when I smile, it comes out MAD!
Anyway, I guess the idea is to escape before Pele gets mad again. Let the ideas begin.
