Mother Gothel at Disney Parks

This has really been bugging me!

Dr Facilier gets a face character...... Why Doesn't Mother Gothel have a face character?

I would LOVE to meet Mother Gothel!!!!

It is rather strange that they don't have her as a M&G Character. Yet they have her for Disney on Ice...

The costume was created but the parks didn't buy it, so no Gothel, which is a shame.

Disney on Ice is not Owned by the Disney Company. Just like Disney on Ice had Fairy Mary and Disney Parks don't that I know of

I know Feld Entertainment runs the show..BUT,They get the majority of their Characters through Walt Disney Entertainment.

It's one of the two story tellers that dresses up as her during the show..

TDO ought to stick Gothel in the Tangled bathrooms, perhaps as a ghost (since she died in the movie). She could be kind of like the Disney version of Universal's Moaning Myrtle.

Seriously though, Gothel is the weakest of all Disney villains. She's one of several reasons Tangled kind of sucked.

I don't think she is the weakest, I think shes great. If i'm totally honest you have villains like Frollo making park appearances and in my opinion as evil as he may be. He is not a memorable villain. Mother gothel on the other hand with her sassy diva like style .... she would make an amazing meet and greet!

Mother Gothal would be a good addition, she was an evil character. Kidnapped a baby, kept her, and then murdered someone, that's a pretty good resume to be a villain.

Tangled in probably the best Disney movie since the Lion King and both my kids and myself love it. The story, the characters, music, comedy are all top notch.
And as far as villains go, stealing a child from her crib while her parents helplessly looked on is pretty bad actually.

Ah, Maleficent, NOW you're talking villains!

As for Gothel: Let's see, she found a flower that bestowed eternal youth. The King's soldiers STOLE IT FROM HER (unknowingly, but still - do you think they'd have let her keep it in any case?) She then tries to cut a strand of hair from the baby, but the power fades when she does, so she steals the kid. Yeah, bad Gothel, but her motives were actually understandable and even a little sympathetic. She's a far cry from Maleficent. I think of her as a lesser Cruella.

They've been pretty poor with bringing characters to the parks for awhile now. Tangled only brought Rapunzel and Flynn, Wreck it Ralph only brought Ralph and Vanellope and Frozen only brought Anna and Elsa.

Compare that to other films like Aladdin which brought Aladdin, Jasmine, Jafar, the Genie and Abu or Beauty and the Beast which brought, Belle, the Beast, Gaston, Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs Potts and Chip.

Even the Princess and the Frog has Tiana, Naveen, Louis and Dr Facilier. I would have thought Olaf at least would have made it to the parks.

I love the Villains I dress up as them at MNSSHP. Mother Gothel, like Frollo they are more of psychological evil than out and out evil like Maleficent, the Evil Queen and Cruella. Messing with someones mind is good (or should that be Bad) in my book.

Can you still find Ralph and vanelope in the parks still?.. It upsets me!!!

Maleficent really needs an updated costume though, as does jafar.....

I wish we could have Ursula in Vanessa form too
