Monorail play set questions

Hi everybody,
I'm interested in collecting / displaying the monorail play set. Can anyone tell me how to get the monorail to say which hotel it is arriving at? Do I need the switch track for that or if I buy a grand floridian will it do it automatically?

Do you use the switch activators for things only like dumbo or can they be used with the resorts?

Some people that buy the monorail play sets are not happy with their current performance, and "modify" them!

They install a faster motor, and there is a better pre-recorded speaker you can add too!

I have one that is packed away and honestly can't recall how that is triggered. I think it's that monorail switching station that has the adio component and depending on what you have it set on determines which audio you get. Now my set is about ten years old so it might have changed.

I have 2 monrails and my only gripe is that the guide wheels wear out quickly and the train won't go. I will check your links to see if anyone has a fix for it. We always set ours up arround the christmas tree.
