Moana Face Characters

Since the movie comes out in 2 months, does anyone know when/if Moana & Maui will be cast? Or will it just be Moana + her pig and rooster?
I'm having a lot of doubts that Maui will be at the parks, especially since Disney (thankfully) pulled the Halloween costume. http://www.avclub.com/article/disney-pulls-controversial-maui-costume-its-moana--243086
Even if they did cast someone, they would have to change his look (which shouldn't be that hard for Disney, considering what they've done to Jasmine, Pocahontas, and Mulan). Even Tarzan isn't bare-chested in his M&G at AK.

I think so too - Moana will probably a face character, and Maui will be a full costume character.

Think Moana will replace Merida at the castle garden? Or would she be placed in Adventureland?

Not sure...Castle Garden Wouldn't make any sense.........Adventureland...Is there any space anymore?....AK.....Seems off but with her and Nature.....Character Landing kicking out Pocahontas might be a long shot?

I can see either happening, but she'll also probably be at the character breakfast at Ohana with Lilo & Stitch.
Replace the baby bears with the pig and rooster, change the scenery, and you've got a M&G at the castle garden (even though the location would be wrong, but wrong locations didn't stop Disney from putting a Belle M&G in Liberty Square).

With all of the criticism Disney is under for the portrayal of Maui, I don't know how I feel about him being in the parks. It'd be weird to not have him, considering how much he features in all of the promotional trailers and posters, but it would have to be done in a tasteful manner.

I really hope if she goes to Ohana, she doesn't replace Lilo and Stitch, just joins them (my fear is replacing). I'm curious how they will do Maui, especially with the controversy over the Halloween costume (not meaning to start anything here with that).

Again I think for safer reasons they won't do it...But, if they did...They'd go the Ralph route...Due to the size of the character...

I'm really starting to think that unless Disney finds a few incredibly muscular Polynesian men, Maui won't have a presence at the parks. If he does, it'd be as a fully costumed character who would be there for a limited time, due to complaints of cultural insensitivity.
And I can't completely blame them? While I don't think Maui's overweight (he just looks super built to me), I think Disney probably should have stuck to a design that would have been similar to what ancient depictions looked like.
