We happened to be staying in a deluxe Boardwalk Inn room right above the Flying Fish so I grabbed this photo from our balcony. The photo is loading in perpendicular to how it actually appears so apologies for that.

Only Disney could create such convoluted back story for a bar that nonone will even know about it. It's a bar with a magic theme end of.
The convoluted back story is meant for guests who are willing to put in the effort to understand it.

As is the case for just about every classic WDW attraction. I enjoy that Disney is still willing to avoid aiming at the lowest common denominator when it comes to theming.

Photo update as of Sunday, July 17. The exterior sign for The Flying Fish has been re-painted and neon fish restored. The awning over the door has yet to be installed. The staff will be training inside the building this coming week, but there is much to be finished both inside and outside. Looks like an early August opening would be appropriate.

Next door, a red awning over the front entrance to AbracadaBar has been installed....and spelling corrected.
